Viewlets are a very nice tool when building skins. Try using the boston
layer instead of the rotterdam layer and look through the implementation
of viewlets in zope.app.boston. A breadcrumb viewlet is part of Tiks
(www.tiks.org).

Sorry, I made an error in the previous post when I stated that
ftesting.zcml is not being parsed. It is in fact being parsed.
But I still can't figure why the authentication header is not allowing
the testbrowser object to 'view' @@contents.html.
