If you have Recovered a copy of the file (Save it under a new name for safety), 
close and restart OpenOffice.  This time select "Cancel" at the Recovery 
prompt, and you should have no further prompts for that recovery.

Gibt es das?


Das "halbe Leerzeichen" ist U+2009 und gehört zum Bereich "General 
Punctation" (Allgemeine Interpunktion).


Such mal im Netz nach "Unicode". Es gibt Seiten mit Übersicht über alle 
Zeichen und Seiten mit Suchhilfen.


Wenn man ein bestimmtes Sonderzeichen oft benötigt, lohnt es sich dafür 
ein Makro zu benutzen. Dem kann man dann ein Tastaturkürzel zuweisen 
oder man kann es im Menü "Einfügen" ergänzen oder man kann eine eigene 
Symbolleiste anlegen. Letzteres habe ich mal in eine Dokumentenvorlage 
eingebaut für Schüler für Französisch.


Es mag auch unter den Extensions (https://extensions.openoffice.org) ein 
Angebot geben um Unicode-Zeichen bequem einzugeben. "HEX → Unicode" hört 
sich so an, aber ich habe es nicht ausprobiert.

yourpasswords for each service and use different passwords for each 
service.After all if people can hack computers then they no doubt can crack the 
so called password vault. If people like Microsoft are providing it 
theyprobably have a way to strip all of your passwords and monitor yourevery 
move. If someone takes over your computer and you have tohave it wiped then you 
still can access the services from your ledger.hopefully you backed up your

Falls Du unter den Einstellungen unter dem Punkt "Laden/Speichern" auf der 
rechten Seite einen Haken bei "Sicherungskopie immer erstellen" gesetzt hast, 
so hast Du eine gute Chance, diese letzte abgelegte Datei zu öffnen. Sie liegt 
im Ordner "backup" Deines user-Ordners, trägt denselben Dateinamen aber mit der 
Endung "bak".

Hallo Herr Feierabend,

Was meinen Fall betrifft handelt es sich tatsächlich um einen vermutlich 100% 
igen Datenverlust. 

Ich hatte mich heute Mittag an ihr Portal gewendet und auch tatsächlich mehrere 
Feedbacks erhalten.

Ich nutze Windows 10 Home. Ich hatte die OO Version 4.16 im Einsatz. Heute früh 
wollte ich ein paar Daten in eine Datei (Tabellenkalk) nachtragen und dann ging 
leider plötzlich gar nichts mehr. Nach erneutem Hochfahren konnte die Datei 
nicht mehr geöffnet werden (entweder mit Verweis auf gesperrt von unbekanntem 
User oder die Abfrage nach ASC Code)

Kennen Sie das Problem? Benötigen Sie ggf. weitere Informationen bzw Hinweise?

Liebe Abonnenten dieser Liste von Apache OpenOffice,

nun kam innerhalb von fünf Tagen schon die zweite mail mit dem Betreff, dass 
eine Datei sich nicht öffnen ließe. Beide mails enthalten null Text aber eine 
ods-Datei. Auf unsere Nachfragen gab es keine einzige Antwort.
 
Ich vermute einen Troll als Absender oder sogar eine Falle in der 
mitgeschickten Datei.

Ich bin allerdings sicher, dass hier Lesende nicht so doof sind und unbekannte 
Dateien öffnen, ohne zuvor die Sicherheitseinstellungen von OpenOffice 
überprüft und gegebenenfalls korrigiert zu haben.

Hi!

Habe per E-Mail eine EXEL-Liste erhalten.

Und wenn du diese Liste direkt aus dem Mailprogramm aufgerufen hast,
und nicht zwischengespeichert hast, kannst du sie nur lesen.
Zuerst die Liste aus dem Mail-Prg speichern. Dann mit AOO öffnen.
Evtl. führt dies zur Lösung deines Problems.
Habe diese auf meinem PC mit der AOO Tabellendokument, mit der 
tiefsten Makro Sicherheit, geöffnet und kann nun keine Einträge in die 
Tabellen eintragen. Es erscheint bei jedem Feld die Meldung " Dokument 
nur zum lesen geöffnet". Wie kann ich die Tabellendokument aktivieren, 
damit ich Einträge machen kann ?

Das Dokument ist schreibgeschützt, also gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:
1. Schreibschutz entfernen.
oder
2. Dokument unter neuem Namen speichern und dieses dann öffnen.

The 32 bit version will work quite happily on 64 bit Windows; just make 
sure that if you need Java in OpenOffice you will need a 32 bit Java.

Java. Apache OpenOffice is a 32 bit executable and needs a 32 bit Java
for some functionality.

As a long time user of OpenOffice and Mac computers I would be hesitant to open 
software that the Gatekeeper blocked when someone else (that I didn’t know) had 
loaded that software onto the computer.

It doesn' t necessarily mean the OO code had malware, just that it was an
unsigned executable. Windows 11 now also prevents unsigned apps from
running, by default, showing a "blue shileld" screen.
This happens to totally legit and safe apps, like Coolterm

On Win11, you disable it using the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).

On Mac, the procedure is outlined here

project had anything to do with taking your money.

What was the contact information for the supposed 'help desk', and where did 
you get the information from? Whoever gave you the information was probably

gesture of honesty to refund this money to my bank asap and to ensure no

However you must access the correct websites, the actual OpenOffice
websites, to use them

provides links to the free user support communities.

You will notice, none of these pages require payment to use them.

If you do download OpenOffice from the official website there will be a
prompt asking for a donation. That prompt DOES NOT require a donation to be

Da bräuchten wir viel mehr Infos. Seit wann gibt es das Problem? Mit jedem
Text? Was meinst du mit "neuen Absatz machen"? Manche verstehen unter
"neuem Absatz" die Tastenkombination Shift+Return (Großbuchstaben +
Eingabe). Das ist falsch. Einen neuen Absatz erzeugt man mit Shift allein.
Shift + Return sorgt nur für eine neue Zeile innerhalb des Absatzes. Wenn
man diese falsche Kombination zu oft verwendet, werden die Absätze immer
länger.

Hab's soeben probiert: unter Datei speichern unter gibt es eine Box, die
man anklicken kann. Beim Speichern wird man dann nach einem Passwort
gefragt. Die Datei kann danach nur noch mit diesem Passwort geöffnet
werden. Man kann sie zwar mit einem einfachen Texteditor öffnen, sieht man
dann allerdings nur nicht entziffbaren Jungel. OO verlangt nicht nach einem
bestimmten Verschlüsselungsverfahren.

LibreOffice war von denen, die dieses Projekt ins Leben gerufen haben, 
einmal als "Nachfolger" für OpenOffice.org angedacht gewesen. Das war 
vor mehr als dreizehn Jahren.


OpenOffice.org gibt es als Apache OpenOffice jedoch weiterhin. Es ist 
nun ein Top_Level-Project der Apache Software Foundation und hat sehr 
hohe Downloadzahlen.


Dass Du erst jetzt auf LibreOffice aufmerksam geworden bist, kann 
belegen, dass die "Marktdurchdringung" dieses Projektes gewisse Grenzen hat.


Allerdings hat LibreOffice einen hohen Bekanntheitsgrad in Kreisen der 
Linux-Nutzer, da die Distributionen (aus nachvollziehbaren Gründen) von 
OpenOffice.org nach LibreOffice gewechselt sind. (Es gibt allerdings 
auch weiterhin Apache OpenOffice für GNU/Linux.)


"Konkurrenz" ist bei Freier Software vielleicht nicht der passende 
Begriff. Es gibt halt mehrere Projekte, die an Freien Office-Suiten 
arbeiten. Aber derartiges ist "normal" in der Freien-Software-Welt.

OpenOffice ist nicht eingestellt worden und wird nach wie vor gepflegt und
auch von Regierungsstellen benutzt. Ich selber benutze OpenOffice bzw.
seine Vorgänger seit weit über 20 Jahren, auch für die Erstellung von
Druckvorlagen für umfangreiche Bücher.

Hi,

I can confirm it. I have however used LibreOffice in Linux to convert 
the document. Which I would guess points at a problem within the 
document and not with OpenOffice.
My guess would be that some settings for those tabs have been altered, 
maybe accidentally, which cause these results. I don't have much time to 
dig deeper into it, I only looked at settings in printer area, which I 
usually never use, and saw that these are set (i.e. someone entered them 
manually). The cause for the problem may be related to this, but I am 
not sure.

Robert -

You can hide your confidential data using Edit > Find and Replace. Make sure 
the 'Regular expressions' box is checked, enter [a-z] in the Find field, and 
enter x in the Replace field. If you then click on Replace All, every 
lower-case letter will be replaced by x. Similarly, you can use [0-9] to 
replace all digits by something.

I only use Open Office for text documents.  What I found helpful was to use the 
page numbers at the bottom right to guide my numbering. I don't use the 
formatting programs.

Schade, dass Du offenbar nicht ausmachen kannst, welche Deiner Handlungen dazu 
geführt hat.

Es gibt in OpenOffice mehrere Möglichkeiten Spracheinstellungen für den Text 
vorzunehmen. Der einfachste Weg sich eine Übersicht zu verschaffen ist die 
eingebaute Hilfe, die ich dringend empfehle aufzurufen. Du kannst dort im Index 
den Suchbegriff Sprache eingeben. In der Liste darunter werden Dir dazu 
relevante Kapitel angeboten.

Viel Erfolg bei den Einstellungen!
Zur Not nochmals nachfragen und dabei möglichst detailliert beschreiben, was Du 
versucht hast.

Öffne den Menü-Punkt "Einstellungen".
Unter der Rubrik "OpenOffice Writer" findest Du den Unterpunkt "Ansicht".
Nach dessen Anklicken setzt Du rechts den Haken bei "Grafiken und Objekte" und 
klickst schließlich auf "OK". Fertig.

probably find that your request is superfluous.


As a user of Thunderbird (102.4.2 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 21.2 ), 
and, NOT displaying attachments inline, PDF files, as attachments, give 
the option of either saving them, or, opening them with a choice of 
application with which to open them.

Dear All,

I hope you will consider this problem for a future update:

I get very frustrated with attached pdf files.
If I want to open one, Thunderbird simply opens it in another tab 
within Thunderbird! This is absolutely not what I want.
As a result I am faced with the laborious process of deciding where to 
save it then save it then open it in Acrobat reader.
How much better it would be for the file to open in Reader and when I 
have looked at it then I can decide what (if anything) to do with it.
My recollection is vague, but such as it is I seem to think that this 
opening within Thunderbird is a relative innovation.


The same thing does not happen with eg jpg or xls or odt where 
Thunderbird asks me to choose what to do.


I can see that there may be people who may be of the view that opening 
a pdf in Thunderbird is a step forward - thus eg you don't actually 
need Reader on the same device as Thunderbird, but at the same time I 
cannot see that removing the option to open in Reader is a good thing.


So please could pdf files join the rest or at least have the option to 
do so.
If you really wanted to make Thunderbird Rolls Royce, then the clever 
thing to do would be to allow the user to nominate default solutions 
for each file type.

Right click on the sheet name - are any others hidden?
I think they all show by default and you can only hide
them afterward.

Hallo,

bitte keine Distro-Wars auf dieser Liste. Ich hatte Knoppix nur erwähnt 
weil es gerade für den Zweck des Ausprobierens entwickelt wurde, recht 
bekannt und ausgereift ist. Dass andere Linux-Distributionen auch 
Live-Systeme anbieten, hatte ich ebenfalls erwähnt.


Jede(r) Linux-Nutzende hat ihre/seine Gründe dafür, warum er/sie die 
Distribution nutzt, die sie/er nutzt. Diese Gründe kann man sachlich 
diskutieren. Aber bitte nicht auf dieser Liste.


Ich schreibe dies nicht, weil es hier "off topic" wäre, sondern weil 
eine solche Diskussion geeignet erscheint, einen Linux-Anfänger zu 
verwirren, und daher kontraproduktiv sein kann.


Ich rate AnfängerInnen, trotz eigener Präferenz, immer, die 
Linux-Distribution zu nutzen, die auch der "Nachbar" nutzt. Dann kann 
man dort Hilfe erhalten, die man als Newbie sicherlich braucht. Später 
kann man dann noch immer wechseln, wenn man einen Überblick gewonnen hat.


Das Schöne an Freier Software ist, dass man in der Regel eine teilweise 
ziemlich große Auswahl hat. Das Problem ist allerdings, dass man meist 
zumindest vorläufig eine Wahl treffen muss.

Ein Punkt ist mir noch unklar:

Gibt es irgendwo eine Anleitung (für Dummies)? Ich kenne mich nicht gut mit

Wird die E-Mail dann an die Mailingliste moderiert, bleibt es wohl erhalten.

ja, das könnte sein. Windows 11 scheint mir eh die schlechtere Alternative zu 
Windows 10 zu sein.
Wie funktioniert das mit Linux Live? Ich würde das gern mal testen.
An der Absenderadresse hab ich übrigens nichts geändert. Keine Ahnung, warum da 
INVALID drangehängt wurde.

Da Microsoft rein zufällig auch mit Office-Software Geld verdient und oft
genug unlautere Methoden zur Durchsetzung eigener Interessen angewendet
hat, kann man sich da manches zusammenreimen.

Hast Du mal probiert, ob das mit Linux auch passiert? Mit einem Live-
System läßt es sich ja ohne Risiko probieren.

BTW: Wie funktioniert das denn, hier eine andere E-Mail-Adresse als
Absender erscheinen zu lassen, also z.B. das INVALID anzuhängen?

Irgendwo habe ich einen Denkfehler.
Die Suche nach 'openoffice Dialoge Abfragen'  hat mich auch nicht
weiter gebracht.
