Hi,
Does anyone know of a method to deactivate many Knowledge Articles in one go? I
have about 3000 articles to make so that they are no longer visible in a search.
Thanks in advance.

Which version? If 7.6.x and greater, and you can qualify those articles
somehow, you should be able to run an escalation on the KAM:Knowledge Article
Manager form.

You could probably set the article status to Retired.. unless you are looking
to forcefully delete the records? I haven't done this so purely hypothetical.

Hi,
Try calling the perl script from a shell script. My solaris environment
prevents the Remedy systmem from calling the perl scripts directly but
everything runs fine via a shell script.
Hope that this helps.

Hi,
I had this issue with ARS V7.1. There were 2 workarounds that I found
for this but these only partially succeeded. The first was to disable
the $MENU$ pattern matching on the field concerned. Save the

Hi,
On the properties tab of the table field, do you have 'Auto Fit
Columns' selected? If so, you could try unselecting this but you may
need to adjust the individual column size for each column in the table.
Hope that this helps.

Hi,
I reported a similar issue to Support and the explanation I got was that
the information displayed was a GUID created by Mid-Tier. I didn't get
any explanation as to why this GUID was displayed and not the real IP

It has only happened once but for me it coincided with a login

Hi,
I have seen a similar one to this which was due to the V7 client being
installed over the previous V6 clients. Our solution was to uninstall
all Remedy clients and re-install the V7 clients. Perhaps there is an
old dll or registry entry that is causing the issue?
Hope that this helps.
Hi,
I recently got this error message when our Oracle 10g database was
upgraded to the latest patch level.
I found that if you remove the $MENU$ key word from the field
attributes, save the form and then add the $MENU$ key word back again
then the error message will not appear again.
Hope

Hi,
I have just done this for our Development Server running ARS V6.on
Solaris 9 with Oracle 9.2. This has been successfully upgraded to ARS

ITSM V5.6.
So far only one 'gotcha' which was with the command line
Hi,
The group IDs is not an issue yet as we have not yet migrated to ITSM V7
and so we don't have the SLM module. We are still running SLA.
I installed ARS V7.1 on a new server, pointing at the existing Oracle 9i
database. The installation program did the database upgrade. I then

Hi,
Unfortunately I can't change the data. It is coming from an external

database for processing by a different project. I am then trying to

Hi,
We are looking into different ways to deal with this issue and we will
certainly be taking your suggestion on board. Thanks for this.
We are using a DB Link to create a View Form within the Remedy System so
we are not using a local DB view.
Thanks.
