I have used the Tapcon concrete screws quite often and have one big problem
with them. The ones with the Phillips head are a problem because the screw
bit rides up out of the screw when the screw becomes tight in the predrilled
hole. I believe they would work a lot better if they had a drive

I've never had this problem with the Tapcon® concrete screws. You do have to
have the exact size Phillips screw head to avoid the problem with the
screwdriver bit slipping in the screw heads, but you could also buy the Tapcon®
screws with the hex heads so a socket can be used instead of a
Yes, Yes, YES!!! You must pre-drill a hole in any concrete, mortar or similar
application before installing these screws. Just be sure that you use the
appropriately sized drill bit. And be sure the bit you use is a masonry bit as
well.
A masonry bit is designed to draw the collateral

Bill, I've used the Phillips as well as the hex head, but, as I said, my
problem is holding the Phillips screw bit directly in line with the screw
because of my visual impairment. Also, I've been doing construction work
for well over 30 years and I certainly know how to select the proper size,
I have used these in the past. In regular cinderblock they work nice and in
medium concrete. In hard baked glazed brick and very hard concrete, a high
speed will put them in; but pressure is needed to keep the bit from riding up.
If powered in on too low a speed the screw binds and the bit

Tom, I can remember my first Hilti. It had a plastic belt with the shots
inserted in it. Place a nail in the head and punch it tight to the surface you
wanted to nail and it fired. I never used mine on concrete, only steel I

It been a while since I had a 2 handle Delta. If my memory serves me right.
Turn off the water to the faucet. Remove the screw that holds the handle.
Remove the handle. There should be a retaining nut under the handle. Remove it.
You might need to pry up on the stem to get it out of the casing.
the part I am having now R J is that handle is not just coming off.
not sure if it is because of the hard water that set up the faucet or
not. there is plenty of room underneath it to pry but..

Keep in mind Delta has a lifetime warranty on parts. So if you take the model
number along to Lowes you'll get the parts free. Or that's how they work down
here.
Now to try answering your question.
Most knobs have a button in the middle that pry out. Under that is a screw.
Take the screw

Sometimes under the faucet, on the bottom side, is a favorite place to hide it.
You'll have to have the Mrs. contort for you and see if she can see it hiding.
Worst case is you'll have to show them the faucet. That's a lousy case though

I believe you will have to get the handle off to get to the retaining nut. I
would use something like the product called super Blaster. Just spray it on

handle for a few hours, some times that works.

Delta doesn't have a model #, so they told me a few years ago. They claim all
faucets use the same parts if single lever, or the same parts for the two
handle.
