I have a bit of a problem. Every time I work with big files (movies,
converting mp3s to wavs for ripping), my system slows down to a crawl for
some time, while it is emptying the buffers. Here's a quick example:

Well, apxs is just a tool for building and installing extensions modules
in apache. It is supplied with apache-dev, so once you install it, you do
have an apxs-enabled server.

1. Install isapnp package.
2. Run pnpdump and create a config file for your card.
3. Run isapnp with that file. Use IRQ,IO, etc settings same as you supply

Please help...I just re-installed Debian completely from scratch after
