3) Purged package, autoremoved, added repo ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa for driver

Looks like this is some kind of race condition related to DisplayPort
Multi-Stream mode (DP-MST). This is why

audacity also slow to the extreme. I changed sample rate in audacity to
51 or 52 Hz as a temporary workaround, but the sound is very

The only way I've found to restore it is by rebooting. I can control the
volume with amixer, and pavucontrol's per-application sliders work fine,

[QEMU] Corrupted desktop screen for raring desktop installation
I'm sorry. While I still have the printer it's not in use any more.
I no longer have the VAIO laptop I got the error on. It had many many
issues with running Linux so I completely gave up on it.
