If there is a problem navigating to T-V and you suspect it to be due to
artwork, I assume this is because you have the display mode set to album
artwork, rather than text listing. What if you change the mode to text listing
before clicking on the T-V link?

i have this problem with my squeezebox occasionally turning itself off
whilst in use. When this happens, I need to unplug the power supply and
plug it back in to get it started up again.

I have designated my bedroom a computer free zone but now I have all my
music in there. And I like the Internet radio - the 4 radio stations I
listen to all
I am a Sympatico customer and have problems with both the radio-1 and
radio-2 feeds from CBC. When I listen to these (either through my
slimserver or through the slimnetwork) the feeds cut out after ~5
minutes. If I hit play again, it will rebuffer and then start to
play, only to cut out.

I have Mcafee a/v and personal firewall. Yes, I've noticed that
slimserver needs permissions granted to the local exes to run.
Previously I had to open ports in the firewall in order to access
slimserver from a remote machine, but not on the local machine.

Yes, it still sounds in my ears. I can still picture the 'space' it
creates. The Squeezebox is wonderful, but the Transporter really
impressed me.
This makes the current clicking doubly irritating.

it seems to work for me.. had a few buffer underruns on bassdrive, but
i think that's a bassedrive issue, as i didn't have it with groove
salad (listened to it for approx 3h) and pausenraum (the one i posted,
for about 1h)

I know why this happens, at least on my machine.
I dual boot between windoze and Linux. The Linux server is updated to
6.5.1, but the windoze server is still 6.5.0.
When I change OS, the server tells me that the firmware in the player
needs to be updated.

No, you really didn't. What you did was silenced the alert about the
problem. Running the wrong firmware will cause you problems in the long run.

i've been having this problem with apple lossless and aac files and am
very keen to try and get on top of the problem. i'm using the latest
6.5.2 server build for windows, am streaming apple lossless as wav
using alac and aac as wav using mov123.
i have one particular song i'm using as a test
A second person just got their ALAC music to play using the alternate
socketwrapper. Maybe it's worth trying...

I loaded 6.5.1 today in windoze and it I think it was behaving the same
way. I'll check again. I went to 6.5.1 in Linux as soon as it came
out. I don't know which OS was running when I was having the problems,
maybe windoze with 6.5.0.

How can I have it so when I hit the X (or ALT-F4) on the softsqueeze
interface, flac.exe and wmadec.exe exit memory also? I would like for
the X to act as a power off button + exit since I dont even have a
Power button on my softsqueeze interfaces that I use.

When it works right, they both dissapear. There have been several times
where they will stay stuck there and the wmadec.exe grows and grows..
never stops (while softsqueeze is not in memory anymore). There doesnt
even seem to be a hotkey the POWER/stop to at least tell slimserver to

Hi Michael, yes, task manager is what I use to kill these two processes.
However, this isn't a reasonable solution... to kill both processes
after closing softsqueeze every time. Forget this player doesnt
really have any affect on what I'm trying to do.
