My latest problem sounds similar to everything here, but it's not quite
the same. My SBC has been working fine up until this evening when it
lost contact with my SB Duet. I've tried rebooting the SBC, I've tried
removing and re-inserting its batteries, I've tried updating the
software, but
I sometimes get the following message from my controller.
couldn't connect your SB to your wireless network. Make sure it is
within range of your wireless network. (Lost Squeezebox)
I can usually overcome this by switching off and on again, or if this
doesn't do it, by doing a factory reset.
I'm not familiar with this setting, but I'd love to see better tracking
of posts and forums that have been read. This has been a long time
(albeit minor) annoyance, so anything that can improve it would be
welcome.

The installation of SC7 is described as (Optional) in the duet user
guide. I didn't install it because I'm using Live365 instead of leaving
my computer on all the time.
This being the case, how do the firmware upgrades get done? I see a

a Mac Mini running OSX Server 10.4.x. The duet does see the host name,
MiniServer.local but can not connect. SoftSqueeze can... I need to

AFAIK we're only hiding them, so you don't get offered a service you actually

I understand you have your SBR connected wired to your network. Is it
also correct that your SC7 is running 24/7? Or do you stop your PC over
night?
If the next time SBR is stuck with a blue light could you just try to
powercycle it to see if it then connects again?

You will only get regular forced updates when using the beta version of
SqueezeCenter with the Controller. If you use the official release then
any updates will only be for critical bug fixes (and we have only done
one update for the 7.0 release).

Have had my Duet for nearly 2 weeks now. My only problem is that if you
use it with dry hands, the wheel does not move properly. I.e. while
scrolling it suddenly stops and i have to press a bit harder.. This

set up. After a few hours of frustration and actually even calling
tech support, I tried disabling the password on a lark and it worked.

This is something i have seen once before, but never found out how to
fix. When I hold the menu button on my iPod 5th Gen, instead of turning
the backlight on/off, it sends it to the main menu. I have tried the 5

We're obviously looking at different numbers :) Regardless, they're
different companies in more ways (and more significant ways) than
management style and I really think you're comparing apples with
10-30% is a bit low. I would suggest all the normal tricks to get that
up to atleast 50%. Try changing channels. (1,6,11) Change orientation
of the antennas. Change location of AP or squeezebox receiver. Add

server itself on XP but I do use the web interface on a Mac and haven't
noticed this issue. I guess my point is that it's likely something a

Yes, it's a beta controller.
I also have a production controller and tried the same experiment.
There isn't a direct way of doing it.
The only way I can think of is using the Napster software to play its
files/streams and then use the WaveInput plugin to pipe the audio to a
Reciever.

Good afternoon.
I recently ripped two CDs using iTunes. When I have SqueezeCenter
rescan for these CDs it shows two copies of them in the software!!
There are not two copies where it is scanning (or anywhere on the drive
for that matter) and these are the only CDs that this is happening with.
Well it looks like no one else here had this issue. I notified Amazon
and a new one is on it's way overnight and UPS will be picking up the

I find if I transfer large files on my wireless laptop then I get
massive drop out on the SB3. Is there a way to increase the network
priority of the SB3 (I am sure this is a network thing, not a processor
problem). The problem seems worse when I run two sync'd SB3s.
