Well, now that I know to use the F key to get into the "Custom Award
Value" field instead of double-clicking, I am wondering what else I may
be missing/misusing.
With that in mind, is there a way to automate the tagging of QSOs

Am I missing something? I would expect that when I choose a custom
award name and then go to enter the callsign of the claimed station, I
could type the call and a progressive search would happen. However, that
is not the case, at least for me. It only searches on the first
character of the c
BTW, the solution that did what I was after was the QSO tab. I wanted to
choose how the flag was set when I entered a contact. I found the F2
option when I was searching but it was not the one I needed. Again,

Not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish but, if all you want
to see are CW QSOs then you need to change the "All Modes" setting to
"CW". Otherwise, you should be good to go.

Which window are you using the 'upper right X' in? You must use the
'DX4WIN 8.05 UrCallsign' window to close the entire program. If you are
doing that and still having problems, the next thing I would do is shut
down the computer completely. That is, do the regular shut down and then
drop power

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but, I don't believe DX4Win
installs anything anywhere but its own folder. Therefore, when moving to
a different PC or HD, all you need to do is, copy the entire DX4W805
folder to the new location, recreate your desktop shortcuts, and run.

Sounds like you are mixing labels and reports together while they are in
fact two different things. Reports would be things like your DXCC
listing, etc., while labels are your QSL labels. A report header will
never show up on your QSL label.

Are flDigi and DX4Win communicating log info or is flDigi just working
with CAT. I have DX4Win and flDigi working with my Flex 5000 in that I
can click on a spot in DX4Win, the Flex tunes, and the frequency shows
up in flDigi but there is no logbook communication (i.e., callsign, mode
info, etc
Just testing. No activity here since 9/1. Unusual.

Looks like this may have made the rounds a year or so ago but no

N1MM. Once you get past the learning curve you will wonder how you ever
got along without it. DX4Win is a logging program first, second, and

Are you trying to contest with DX4Win? If so, I would suggest you look
at something like N1MM contest logging software as DX4Win is much better
suited for general purpose logging and DXing. N1MM is full featured
contesting software.

After you edit the file, do a 'Save As' and make sure your edited file
is being saved where you think it is. Also, make sure your V7.03 is not
pointed at your old version's 'Save' folder.

I imagine you have this covered already but, just to be sure - the
city and state is not especially reliable for determining what county
the station is actually in. The nearest Post Office is sometimes in the
adjoining county. I think the only truly accurate method is with map
coordinat
