Hello forum,

I've set my DXCC award to QSL Card and LOTW.
I've set a warning under preferences --> F2 Key --> Alert when

Now: most everytime I enter a bureau card it alerts me for new
dxcc/band etc while that country is already confirmed on LOTW.

Can someone advice me on how I can set the alert in such a way so
only when something isn't already confirmed on LOTW I get alerted?

Re: [Dx4win] LoTW vs QSL cards

2023-01-19 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Hello RCSEG,

I thought somebody answered this the other day. There are a few things to
check:

In DX4WIN:
File > Awards > DXCC > Confirmation. Make sure both QSL Card and LoTW are
checked. Make sure the proper Mode Groups and Award Bands are checked.

File > Preferences > Station. Make sure the proper modes and bands are checked.

Make sure you import your LoTW confirmations into DX4WIN.
In LoTW: Your QSOs > Download Report
In DX4WIN, in the QSO window: LoTW > Confirm LoTW using ADIF file

1 - download and install Content-Type Fixer

2 - Start Firefox. At the top right you will see an icon with a hammer,
click on it to see the menu of Content-Type Fixer

3 - Check Auto-start with Firefox and check Follow my settings (inline)

4 - Log into LOTW and download your log file. At the moment it is still
without extension but this action is necessary to get the extension adi in
the log of Content-Type Fixer.

5 - click again on the hammer icon and click on Add/Edit Content Types in
the menu

6 - you now see the Log of Recent Requests. Under the header Action Tasks
for the extension adi you will then probably see something like this. :

C-T: Updated CT header from "application/x-arrl-adif; charset=iso-8859-1" to
"application/octet-stream".

7 - Click the Add button, select the input field and type in
application/octet-stream and then click the Update Content-Type button.

8 - If you download again, the file should have the extension .adi. You only
need to do this once.

Scott, you may want to read these application notes:

https://ad1c.us/dx4win/appnotes/dxcc.html
https://ad1c.us/dx4win/appnotes/lotw.html

There are a couple of points here:

1. You don't get the DXCC credits automatically from LoTW. You only
get confirmations. You must still make a DXCC application through
LoTW to have those credits applied to your DXCC Award(s)

2. You can think of LoTW confirmations like QSL cards that need to be
submitted for DXCC credit. You perform a DXCC Submission through
DX4WIN, and this will set the Submitted flags for those QSOs. When
you receive the DXCC credits from ARRL, you can change the Submitted
flags to Checked through DX4WIN's Reports menu.

Now it's likely that the confirmations submitted through LoTW may not
exactly match the ones that DX4WIN picked to submit, especially in the
case where you have multiple confirmations for the same DXCC entity.
You can resolve this any way you want, but it may involve manually
changing award flags in DX4WIN to make everything match up. Again,
read the DXCC application note above.

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW

Hello Scott,

On your LoTW page, Your QSOs > Download Report (on the far left). This
generates a file called lotwreport.adi (I always append the date to this file,
cuz I’m that kind of geek.). Import this file into DX4WIN by using LoTW >
Confirm LoTW using ADIF file in the QSO window. This tells dx4win which QSOs
are credited on LoTW.

Do you mean the Award Flags? They should never be set automatically unless
you perform a Submit from the Reports Menu.

Go to your preferences, and click on the F2 tab. My guess is that the last
box is checked (alert if new for award, or something like that). That may
be setting the awards flag(s). I never use that feature.

Please read this application note. It applies to all awards. Some of the
pictures may not reflect the current version of DX4WIN.

https://ad1c.us/dx4win/appnotes/dxcc.html

Once a QSO is confirmed, then it's confirmed. You don't have to work it on
that band/mode again. You should never have to think about award flags
until it's time to do a DXCC submission.l

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW confirmations

2022-02-19 Thread Kostas SV1DPI
In order to be able to use QSOs and confirmations in several awards,
someone needs to enable 2 fields. The first one is

File>preferences>Station

and the 2nd one File>Awards and the award you want

I believe you have unchecked something somewhere of these two. For
example you need to check LotW under dxcc in order lotw confirmations
work for your dxcc

from the help file for station

"Specify the bands and modes of interest.

Disabled bands and modes will not be shown in the various summaries and
reports, and will not be considered when making submissions for awards
or flagging QSOs for which a label should be printed. The DX spotting
colors and audio alerts also make use of these settings.

When a band or a mode is disabled they can still be entered in a QSO.

*Bands *Select the bands of interest.

*Modes *Select the modes of interest.

*VUCC *bands The bands shown in a Grid listing or the Grid summary window

Mode groupSelect the award groups of interest"

and also from help file for awards

"The awards window defines the parameters for an award, like bands,
modes and starting dates that can be used for an award. The form is
organized using a tab for each award. The contents for each tab is
identical. This implies that some band / mode combinations are allowed
for which there is no 'certificate' available

The fields are as follows:

Confirmation Indicates which QSO confirmation(s) can be used for the award

Mode group Indicates which mode group(s) can be used for the award

Awards Indicates which awards can be applied for

Valid modes Indicates which QSO modes are allowed for the award

Valid bands Indicates which bands are allowed for the award

Award bands Indicates which bands can be used for a separate band award

Start dates A number of awards accept only QSOs made after a certain
date. An empty date indicates that there is no starting date.

Confirmation Starting date for the type of confirmation

Mode group Starting date for the mode group

Awards Starting date for the specified award type

Modes Starting date for the specified award mode

Bands Starting date for the specified award band"

Good afternoon Mike.

When I download from LOTW to DX4WIN, it changes the "w" to a "C" but
not for band or mode
As described, my 30m FT8 when imported from LOTW should have been band
and mode confirmed, yet nothing

My 12m FT8 should have been mode only since 12m was confirmed previously

IF I go to submit LOTW contacts, nothing shows in the submission report

IF I confirm those same two contacts with an F2 (paper qsl) , shows as
suppose to be.  That's where the conundrum comes from

 Hello Steve,

Not sure I understand you correctly, but
The country Window shows what you have Worked, selected for printing a
Label, Mailed for a card, or Confirmed.
The Mixed, Band, and Mode boxes at the bottom of the QSO window show
what
you have submitted for DXCC (or other award) credit.  They will not
change
from the two dashes until you submit those QSOs for credit.  When you
submit
them, they will change to S.  When the credits have been awarded, you
change

them to C for Checked by selecting:
Reports > Award Flags > Change award flags.  For EACH award (mixed,
band,
and/or mode, whatever those QSOs apply to), under Action, select:
Submitted

 -> Checked.
Then, and only then, will you see a "C" for checked in those boxes.

 Hope this answers your question.

 Mike Cizek W0VTT

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW confirmations

2022-02-18 Thread kf2ti

Good afternoon Mike.

I understand what you are describing, but it seems when I upload to
LOTW, it does not change anything to submitted, as with a paper qsl.
When I download from LOTW to DX4WIN, it changes the "w" to a "C" but not
for band or mode

Submitted

 -> Checked.
Then, and only then, will you see a "C" for checked in those boxes.

 Hope this answers your question.

2020-06-22 Thread Alan Zack
Ref: POB 88.

When I was stationed at Kodiak Alaska there were times we would interact (to
put it nicely) with Russian Bear bombers near Adak and Attu with our USCG
C-130's. My mail came thru the Coast Guard mail room. One day I was called into
the C.O.'s office where our base security officer was holding a letter from POB
88 and had me open it in front of them. They knew I was a Ham and I had to do
some explaining why a Russian Ham was sending me his QSL card. I could have
lost my Top Secret clearance.

I would go to Jim AD1C excellent website:
https://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/lotw.html and follow his instructions.
There are slight differences between ver 9 and earlier versions but
you should be able to figure it out. Other wise email me and I will
put together a little checklist of how I do it.

Re: [Dx4win] LoTW

2020-04-26 Thread Paul F6EXV

Thanks for all replies
Dave, Yes, I know that page, that is where it shows that it has been
stuck for several hours, not processing any log.
Re the contest explanaion, I woould imagine contesters upload their full
lof AFTER the contest, not during !
And I do not think an upload of 1 QSO takes that much time that it
blocks the system...
I know my QSO are in the queue, I am just wondering why they take so
long to be processed.

Yes, the intent is that if logging programs export full station locations,
this will stop bogus uploads. If loggers don't export the QTH data, nothing
changes. And, you can always turn this off.

You're misinterpreting things.  This is a case where IF a logger
chooses to export QSOs with location data, then it will be checked.
If it's not there, then it won't be. There's no new requirement.

Please don't panic - this is a new feature, not some new requirement

Thanks for the update, Rick. You might want to change the wording
slightly then because "This feature will necessitate changes in many
logging programs, because it requires that the log provide station

Btw, was this also meant to fix a problem with many LOTW users uploading
incorrect zone, state, grid and IOTA info? That would be nice.

Hello, everyone.

It seems that ARRL has released a TQSL version 2.5.2 that now involves
logging programs including additional information in the ADIF file (or
overriding the check somewhere in the TQSL program). I haven't tried either
upgrading to that version or uploading a log with it, but just be aware that
the usual LOTW upload may not work anymore if you do.

Here's the link to the bulletin:
http://www.arrl.org/news/new-tqsl-version-2-5-2-provides-better-lotw-rover-s
upport-other-improvements

It looks like it's supposed to solve an issue with "roving" stations, which
I guess solves a problem for the 0.01 % of QSO out there, but the way I
read it, it transfers the burden of verifying the uploaded location data
(DXCC, State, Grid, Zone) to the logging program that supplies it. If that's
the case, it solves nothing, because the data is only as accurate as the
user supplying it, which essentially changes nothing as far as the location
accuracy of LOTW contacts is concerned.
At least that's my interpretation, I don't know what "Once a logging program
supplies these (MY_STATE, MY_DXCC, MY_CQ_ZONE, etc.), then /TQSL/ will
validate them against the log" means, unless it will require these for every
single QSO entry in the ADIF file. If that's the case, I don't think DX4Win
is able to supply that without a major upgrade.

However, it adds an interesting twist on the constant demands for automatic
LOTW upload/download around here.

Stay safe & 73,

Zoran WA7AA

If you made the QSO in 1998 but it CONFIRMS in LoTW on March 15, 2020 the
March 15, 2020 is the date you will be downloading the confirmation from.
You do not need to go back to 1998 or you will be downloading ALL
CONFIRMATIONS since 1998. Not needed if you already download regularly.
LoTW keeps track of last download date.

Hi, I have a doubt.
I have imported all my log to DX4WIN from the ARRL's Logbook on the World
page.
1) Your QSO
2) Download report (I put the date where my radio activity started)
3) Your Call sign (any)
4) Download report (save it as Lotwreport.adi)
5) Then I go to DX4WIN in the LoTW menu, Import from LoTW and import the
file Lotwreport.adi into DX4WIN.

I think those are the correct steps.

My question is: Every time I import that file, should I do it completely?
Imagine that a QSO arrives confirming an entity that I made in 1998, should
I import from before that date?

Greetings to all and wishing this pandemic to pass as soon as possible.

Re: [Dx4win] LoTW import

Depended what date you have given in LoTW download window - you will
asked for

Here you can download a report of QSLs received. The report file is in
ADIF format.

*Show QSLs received since:*(-MM-DD)
*Include QSL details:*(May make the downloaded file a lot bigger.)
*Include QSO station details*("my" station location fields)*:*(May make
the downloaded file a lot bigger.)
*Your Call Sign:*

And if you import in DX4WIN you will asked about you want the dupes or
not. So it can helpful if you download from 01.01.1900 till today and
not allow dupes - you will be surprised :-)

Paul, the simple answer is that it is not possible to do this
automatically inside of DX4WIN. Please read this application note:

  https://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.html

At one time, there was an application that would try to do this. I
believe it was written by a station in W8-land, but I can not remember
the callsign. Maybe someone else can recall. It worked, but you
should also do the checks described at the end of the release note
above.

DX4WIN 9.0x does allow the user to take an ADIF listing of
approved/checked IOTA credits and apply them to the DX4WIN log. It is
theoretically possible that Paul could implement something similar for
DXCC, using the ADIF report file that you can download from ARRL
Logbook of the World. Maybe if enough people ask for this...

Re: [Dx4win] lotw again!

2020-01-01 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Hello Cort,

DX4WIN remembers what you have uploaded before, so in the QSO window just do
LoTW > Export to LoTW and it will select the right QSOs.

If, for some reason, that won't work in your case, you can do a filter:
F8 (Filter) > 01-01-2018 (Under File > Preferences > QSO, you need to
select "Greater Equal" under QSO Date for searching)
File > Import/Export > ADIF (first one on the list) > Export
When the program asks "Use filter for export?" select yes.

Note that the download will contain only the information that LoTW

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW import issue using SAT mode V9

2018-08-03 Thread Mike Cox
I asked about this several months back and likewise, never saw any
response. My current "fix" is to hand patch the LOTW generated adif
files with the correct satellite name manually before uploading to LOTW.
Specifically, I asked about providing updates to the satellite "list"
contained within dx4win OR making it user modifiable to accommodate the
constantly changing list of amateur satellites.

When adding SAT qsos into dx4w it appears that a VALID SAT name is
required for LOTW to accept the import

See below the error I receive:

Error: PROP_MODE = 'SAT' but no SAT_NAME on line 1012
QSO_DATE: 20180729
TIME_ON: 141200
CALL: W5RRR
MODE: FM
PROP_MODE: SAT
BAND: 70cm
BAND_RX: 2m

PROP_MODE: SAT
BAND: 70cm
BAND_RX: 2m
LOTW_QSLSDATE:

IF "OTHER" is chosen it too is rejected as a non-valid SAT name. And
error occurs.

Is there a work around for this as the SAT NAMES list is far from
complete or current.

Seeking ideas or suggestions on how to work around.

Thank! Kirk, N0KK

Re: [Dx4win] LoTW flags/tags

dx4win consider a QSO as uploaded only when a date in Upload Date field
is filled. So you need to put a date. There is no meaning what date, but
it needs a date.

Is there a way to do this?

I have been uploading my QSOs to Club Log, then let Club Log sign them
and upload to LoTW. They usually appear on the ARRL site right away.
Yesterday there some delay, but I don't recall if it was minutes or
hours.

Assuming you used the TQSL program to convert the ADIF file to a TQ8 file and
upload, you can go to the LoTW website and check the status of your uploads
under Your Account -> Your Activity.

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW - DXCC QSL Download

2017-11-28 Thread Rick Murphy
That question on the LoTW site is important - there's a bunch of old QSLs
from the days of paper records that don't have full QSO information. For
example, I have some QSLs that are just "Mixed" credits for a given entity
- no callsign, no date/time. Looking at that QSL will help figure out
what's off for that QSL.

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW - DXCC QSL Download

2017-11-28 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Hello Rick -

My understanding is that if ANY little detail is different in the two
records, it will show up in the notfound file. If something important
(band, mode, etc) is different, it will also have an X at the beginning of
the line. Is that correct?

I have had several calls appear in the .notfound file but they were all in
my log and appeared to be correct.

First, Kurt, there is no automated way to update DXCC award credit
status in DX4WIN, other than by hand. The file you downloaded can't
be used by DX4WIN. Please read this article:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.html

and see this utility:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/lotw/

Second, any DXCC credits you have that pre-date LoTW (i.e. paper
confirmations from the the 1990s and earlier) won't have the correct
QSO information in them. The paper ARRL DXCC records did not contain
any QSO information, only callsigns.

I was hoping that the LoTW program above could be adapted for VUCC,
but unfortunately, there is no way to download a file of VUCC award
credits that includes both paper QSL credits as well as LoTW credits.

I doubt that's the case, but have no intention to investigate a one QSL
discrepancy. Years ago I tracked a similar discrepancy to a W1 callsign
that was confirmed, then the record disappeared only to show up again a
few months (?) later. I suspect LoTW has a few glitches that they try to
keep on the down low and not advertise too much.

Registering for LoTW is fairly involved and secure, as it should be, so
that's why I think it's not a question of removing an invalid log, but
of course, I can't be sure.

The mismatch is in the total QSL count reported and the amount of QSLs
reported for all my callsigns under Statistics, like PY2YP described.
Weird, but nothing to lose sleep for.

Yeah, except for this:

-

*Can I delete QSOs that I've submitted?*

No. If you've submitted a QSO containing erroneous information, correct
the information and submit the QSO again

So how can the total be affected with an action that can not be taken?

The wording is subtle, but what is says is "when contact are manually
removed or updated".
That means "when the ARRL LoTW staff manually removes or updates them."

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW report question

2016-11-23 Thread Barry

Mystery solved!

11 of the 12 QSOs in question were for PJ2/W2UP. Apparently LOTW lumps
them together, but I have a separate log for that operation.

1 of the 12 QSOs, S55W from 2004, was just recently uploaded by him.
He had the mode as Phone, not SSB. I presume that mismatch is a problem
in DX4WIN.

Please check again.

(It's quite possible for this to happen if your computer has been
compromised, but if that's the case then the DXCC desk needs to mark
all of your QSOs as invalid and ineligible for DXCC until you clear
this up.)

Occam's Razor says these are QSOs you made, uploaded, and are now

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW report question

2016-11-22 Thread OZ0J Joe
I have worked on with this.

This is a QSO that I had with 5Q2J during the WAE RTTY contest. My used call
was 5Q2T.

Details 5Q2T5Q2J2016-11-12 08:58:14 15M RTTY
21.09800DENMARK

When I click on details, I can see date and time when I uploaded the QSO to
LoTW. It is not the QSO time but the actual time that LoTW received the QSO
details.

When I click on DENMARK, I can see actual time and date that 5Q2J uploaded
to his LoTW account.

Barry,

Can you find same details on one of the 12 QSLs that you miss in DX4WIN?

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW

2016-05-26 Thread Mike Cizek W0VTT
Hello Cort,

There are two ways to do it:
1. Do a date filter(F8) in DX4WIN. Set Preferences|QSO|QSO Date to "Greater
Equal". This will give you all QSOs from 9 Mar 16 to present. Now do an
export to LoTW and answer YES to "Filter active, use it for export?".
DX4WIN will remember the date of your last LoTW upload so it won't be an
issue next time.
2. Export everything and use the QSO Date Range filter in TQSL to select 9
Mar 2016 to present.

After you do the export and upload, in the QSO window, do LoTW|Set LoTW
Upload Date for everything. This way, DX4WIN will think you have already
uploaded everything (even the QSOs you uploaded from Writelog) and not try
to upload them again.

hey guys, need some help with sending the last few months to LOTW. The
dates would be Mar 9,2016 to today. Everything I try to do it wants to
send the whole 120,000 qsos in my log. Most of my lotw postings are thru
Writelog which is so easy. Maybe there are just some simple steps to do
this also. Reading the help files just confuses me even more... old

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW credit to DX4WIN

2016-03-22 Thread Lee Hallin
Hi all,

I previously wrote a couple programs but they aren't ready for release (I wrote
them for me so they take some hand-holding :).
If there is interest on the reflector I will see what I can do about making
them more "bullet proof" for others to use :)
Currently these programs have no "screen" to fill in and click on. They are
invoked from the command line prompt.

One program takes the DXCC_QSL... file (that you can download from ARRL/LoTW)
and turns it into a spreadsheet that, to me at least, is MUCH more readable.
All the information for a particular QSO is on one line.

The other program reads the export/.DXQ file produced by DX4WIN and creates a
new .DXQ file setting the DXCC/Mixed, DXCC/Band and DXCC/Mode entries based
upon what the DXCC_QSL... file indicates the QSO qualifies for. The program
also sets the LoTW/Cnfm flag for the QSO if no other Cnfm flag is already set.
I also have an option that will just "set" the LoTW/Cnfm flag for ALL QSOs in
the DXCC_QSL... file; regardless of whether any Cnfm flags are previously set.

In addition to writing a new .DXQ file with any changes, the program also
writes a .CSV file that, for fields changed, has the before and after values of
the fields changed; QSO by QSO. This is to make it easy to see what was
changed.

The program also gives a list of any QSOs in the DXCC_QSL... file that were NOT
matched with a QSO in the original .DXQ file.

If you are interested and/or want more information, let me know.

Lee Hallin N7NU

This utility requires first DXKeeper to download the credits from the

I use also writelog for contesting. After the contest I use AD1C
software adif to dx4win and import the produced dx4win file. This allow
me to import the qsos in a specific group, to add notes, etc. Writelog
uses a very easy and nice way to upload the qsos to LotW but I don't use
it because it is not easy to teach dx4win that I have sent these qsos to
LotW. So this is how it comes the next question to Jim: Can you add a
field to your excellent program to add LotW upload date when we have
already uploaded the file with writelog for example?

Hi Court,

I contend that it's better to only upload to LoTW from DX4WIN, not
from a separate contest log, as you are importing that into DX4WIN
anyway. Look at http://dx4win.ad1c.us/ for an application note on
Working with LoTW. You'll find that once you export the initial
upload, exporting future uploads, including both your contest and
non-contest QSOs, is much more straightforward.

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW

2015-02-23 Thread David Kozinn, K2DBK
The easiest way is just to use the LoTW-Export to LoTW each time, then
allow it to turn off flag indicating that it needs to be uploaded. That
way each time you upload it will automatically only upload those which
are flagged for uploading. This does mean that you need to have your
Preferences set so that any QSOs either entered directly or imported are
flagged to be uploaded to LoTW. It also means that what you'd want to do
is to generate the ADIFs only from DX4Win, and not use the export from
Writelog. I used to do it that way (export from N1MM logger, send that
up to LoTW, then import but don't set the flags), and it got complicated.

So in other words, the flow is: Generate the ADIF file from Writelog,
import to DX4W (making sure that the LoTW flag defaults to Y on new
imported QSOs), then export from DX4W. Yes, you do need to export twice,
but I've found that it only takes a few seconds and it keeps things all
managed (for LoTW purposes) aligned in DX4W.

As an alternative, if you set a filter (for instance, filter for K1N),
when you start the export, DX4Win will ask if you want to use the filter
that's in effect.

I hope this helps.

Why don't use it to check our DXCC application status
Import ADIF and Check DXCC as CONFIRMED will be the solution.

Because at the time that DX4WIN 8.05 was released, there was no ADIF
standard for transferring award credits. There is now such a
standard. Perhaps this is something Paul will add when he starts
working on DX4WIN again.

Re: [Dx4win] LotW import problem

2015-01-22 Thread John 5B4AHK

Hi

I import the LOTW download (with all details checked) into my 8.05 log and I
have just checked my log by searching using F8 with

the State/Oblast abbreviation in the box.
I do not get one single non-USA call-sign appearing!

I checked against.
AL GA IN KS MA MD MO NV OR and TN.

I wonder why ?

73 John 5Β4ΑΗΚ

I just noticed an unusual problem while importing LotW QSOs into the log.
When a Russian station has its Oblast set in the LotW QSO details that
matches an abbreviation of a US state, the state flag for that particular
QSO in DX4Win gets changed from blank to the state matching the
abbreviation
and, in addition, the zone of the station changes to the zone matching
the

state.

This is something that changed in LoTW in the last 6 months or so.
After every import, I always search for Import: in the Notes for this
QSO field. If I run across the situation described above, I simply
erase the State field in the QSO (and save it using F10) and all
returns to normal.

I hope Paul can fix this in a future version of DX4WIN, i.e. qualify
filling in the State field with the DXCC entity.

Guys,

You can do a filter like:

F8 to specify filter
!K in the prefix field (NOT USA)
* in State field
Enter to start filtering

You will see KL7 HI etc with the matching state abbreviation; if not, you
have a problem.

Re: [Dx4win] LOTW downloads - 'State'

2014-09-29 Thread Rick Murphy
This is a defect in DX4WIN. The ADIF STATE field is NOT US State, it's
a place where the entities Primary Subdivision goes.
If DXCC is Australia and STATE is WA, that's accurate. Interpreting this as
the US State of Washington is wrong.

Hi Andy

I use DX4WIN 8.05

When I receive new confirmations in LOTW,
a) I import the LOTW downloaded ADIF file into DX4WIN
b) I upload the same LOTW ADIF file to Clublog, as a merged file
c) about every 3 months I do a full upload from DX4WIN to Clublog just to make
sure, using the delete existing log option.

Not sure if this helps but maybe you are missing step b)

Good luck

Andy, I think I know what's happening. I assume when you upload to
LoTW, you are only uploading the most recently worked QSOs (those you
have not uploaded before). And you are uploading this same ADIF file
to both LoTW and Club Log. This file will only contain a small
portion of your log. By definition, because you are uploading these
QSOs to LoTW for the first time, they will all be unconfirmed. When
you later import the LoTW report file into DX4WIN to confirm your
QSOs, DX4WIN will mark those imported QSOs as confirmed by LoTW. But
the incremental LoTW export flow will never export these QSOs again,
after they have been confirmed, because they had already been exported
to LoTW.

Club Log has two upload options:

1. Upload new QSOs, but don't delete existing QSOs in Club Log
2. Delete all QSOs in Club Log, then upload the QSOs

The second option will allow you to upload your confirmed QSOs.
However, because it will remove all your existing QSOs in Club Log,
you will need to export your ENTIRE DX4WIN log to ADIF format, then
upload that large ADIF file to Club Log. You can do this via the File
| Import/Export menu item.

This should solve your problem.

 Dennis,

You are correct. Currently, only WPX is accepting LoTW. I also remember
reading that the IT guys at ARRL recommended not accepting any additional
awards, as it was too much on the system.

I thought WAZ still only accepts QSL cards? Did that change? In the
reporting window for WAZ you can select LoTW, cards and/or eQSL So I
can tally my totals for WAZ any way I want

Since I've started using version 8.05 I am finding that when I import my

things like WAZ as confirmed. The way I was taught to import LoTW ADIF's
is: File - Import/Export, select file, then under Options for duplicate
QSO's window select Imported QSO sets LoTW Confirmed flag. By doing
this, the main QSL line (where you can set it to print a label) is not
getting set to Cnfm when the import completes. I'm pretty sure that this is
the WAZ in not getting confirmed. Is there something I'm missing or
something in preference not set right?

That's a bummer  Getting spoiled with LoTW, its hard and often precarious
work QSL'ing to some of these places

The recommendation was to not add any additional awards at this time until some

needs before ARRL should be considering adding more awards.
