For those of you who may want more gain, It almost looks like you might
be able to stage these units in-line and be controlled by an external
bank of switches. I'm already wondering how many might be used and how
much trade-off of SIG-NOISE might be tolerable.Just a thought.

one of the leads on T1 did not have the paint removed, looked like a
good solder joint until I got the magnifying glass out. Removed the
solder, cleaned off the paint with an Xacto knife, resoldered it, now

This really IS a minor quibble, but the QST review noted that some hams
might prefer the larger and more widely spaced buttons and knobs on full
size transceivers. Turns out this isn't generally correct. By coincidence,
a couple of days ago I compared the front panel layout on my K3 and my
I use Logic 8 with my K3. Choose the K2 setting, but it works fine. Reads
radio data as you log and allows some rig control from the program too. I
don't do anything fancy with it, but it seems fine for the basic operations.
Logic 8 also has contest log forms for many contests. I used the SS

sets the freq OK but it does not always set the mode. Clicking a spot a

No. RX ANT must be selected. I have a QS1R SDR connected between RX IN and
OUT for use as a panadapter and it only works if you turn on the RX ANT
switch.
