Let me get this straight: a SignaLink USB box plugged into the K3,
software is DigiPan, mode is USB, and power reduced to 25 Watts.

I use the Signalink with the K3 and I found that I had to have a larger line
level output from the Signalink. Inside the Signalink is a jumper that allows
you to switch to a higher voltage. Before I did this, the level was not high
enough to drive the K3. I don't know if this is a universal

(about 2', I think, I'm not in my shack now) and the BNC-BNC IF cable.

ERR PTT or ERR KEY iws just what it says, somehow the Key and/or the PTT
has been closed when the K3 is powered on. Check all your connections.
If you can't find the key or footswitch, etc that is closed, then
disconnect everything except the power cable from the K3 - in that

each side panel about an inch down from top and 5 inches back from front.
They appear original as they have paint inside.

This is not a problem at all, but it is a matter of audio levels as well
as knowing your equipment.
The SignaLink is capable of providing either Line level audio or
Microphone level audio.
The SignaLink off-the-shelf is plugged for microphone level audio.

There was originally thoughts of putting a mounting bracket on the K2 -
it never happened, but the early side panels had the hole for that bracket.

I've been using my K2 successfully with AA6YQ's DXLab Commander and
WinWarbler. There are some modes WinWarbler does not support, so I wanted
to try fldigi-3.21.40.
Fldigi is able to control the K2 using HamLib, but for some reason will not

I apologize, but that information is incorrect. The KXSER uses a sealed
molded connector for the RS-232 connector. It can not be opened.

Yes, you will get HiCur messages if KSB2 U1 pin 2 is shorted, and there
will not be sufficient control over power output.

just tested my K3 (#202) using a jumper across the FSK input
on the ACC connector and using my Diamond SX-200 power meter
I can not see any difference in power at all

the arrival of a W2 I also confirmed that the two tones are set to
the same level as determined by measuring each tone separately
(and statically).

In my K2 (serial 5625) I am using the K60XV option to drive a transverter. I
note that the low power output port power follows the power control setting
until 0.5 mW is reached. At that point the power control and LCD readout

Replace KAT2 R6 with a 470 ohm resistor - there was one shipped with the
XV60 for that purpose.

problem from out of band signals. The problem is selectivity. You can use an
audio filter, but they don't do anything for opposite sideband
