Hi Evert,
I had the same problem and fixed it by instructions from Gary.
I wrote you off list, because I don't know if pdf-files are accepted by
the list.

In any event, here is (again) a mundane and simple request - a menu item

Hi All,
I'm new to this list and apologize if this has come up before. I just
assembled my new K3 (#1217, firmware 2.11, DSP firmware 1.81) and noticed a
bug in the filter selection routine.
I have filters in FL2 (2.7 KHz), FL3 (1.8 KHz), and FL4 (0.4 KHz). (I'm
saving the FL1 slot for an
Steve,
On AM, your carrier power should be about 25% of the peak transmitter power.
For a K3, which runs 120W output, this means that the carrier output should
be about 30W. I believe the K3 automatically sets the correct
carrier-to-peak power ratio, so that when you scale back the K3's power
Rodger,
I assembled my K3 a couple of weeks ago (s/n 1217), and did not experience
your problem. The three transistors clamped nicely against the (thicker)
bottom cover using only the hardware specified in the instructions. As I
recall, there are both 3/16 and 1/4 screws in the kit. You sure

another post to this group I recall someone (Dr. Garland?) asking about
the same issue I am seeing on my rig. I have set up xtal filters as

What is the latest NON BETA version that is stable and works?

good morning,
the KRX3 arrived and I installed it yesterday. After doing the VCO calibration
and filter settings it is working fine.
I have observed two things that are not clear to me so I wanted to ask if this
is the same at your K3's.

I'd like to put a ~20A SPS into a EC-2 housing. Has anybody found a PS that

Anyone have this problem with an open mic inside the radio? When I am on

squeals. I can actually speak through the bigger grille opening on top of

Gang,
I'm pulling my hair out over an RF feedback problem with my K3/100, and
wonder if anybody has any ideas? I use an external station controller that
switches key, microphone, CAT, line in/out, etc. between different rigs.
The microphone audio connects to the K3's rear panel microphone jack
