to be sent. Not sure if this is a diode anomaly or something else.
Cleaning the contacts on the handkey by burnishing with a piece of heavy
paper has always seemed to fix the problem when it occurs.

Got an LDG AT-7000 auto-tuner to go with my IC-7000 (stopgap radio until I
get a K3) and no longer need the MFJ. It's in like new condition and will
tune just about anything. Covers 160 through 10 meters (actually will go to
6 meters on some antennas). MFJ rates it for 3KW PEP and I've run a KW

hold up military camouflage netting. Those paddle base plates really aren't

KX1 #1268 arrived yesterday. Completed construction and alingnment 15
minutes ago - #1268 is alive and well.

forgot it in my excitement to get my KX1 on the
air.
Oh yeah, first contact with the KX1 was a DX station (PA600GOES - yeah I
know it's a weird call that's pa six hundred goes) in the Netherlands. Got
a 539 on 20 meters - KX1 and a CushCraft A3S tri bander up 25 feet.

I just built my KX1 and like you thought the paddles wouldn't be good for

grow on you, and they are really convenient. When constructed properly
