That sounds like a problem for your doctor.
If you mean no TX monitor you may need to turn u the monitor volume.
Did you select the proper mic input jack? What mic, does it need Bias?

Check the knob for cracks. Many K3S suffer from cracked knobs. If yours is

I adjust the “pitch” to suit my hearing. The pitch of the incoming station is
adjusted by the VFO! The “Spot” button will get you close to Zero-Beat. A
little XIT will separate you from others who Zero-Beat him in a pile-up.

Well they used to be difrentisted from the 8 pole filters haven’t looked for
them on new site.
Eight pole filters have a metal can enclosing them. The five pole filters are
just exposed PC boards.
I think I have offsets set on my K3S for the 200 Hz filters.

That’s what it is. My K3 was a K3 when I bought it with 10 watts and no ATU.
It was still a K3 when I had the KDVR, the sub-receiver and 5 filters plus the

How many Amps does it draw? The external port can supply 1 AMP. The P3
between .5 and .75 A. (Depending on SVGA & TX-MON installed). If you don’t need
more than .250 or so you can use a simple RCA>RCA/RCA splitter.

Sorry. But DATA A is for USB modes like FT8, PSK, etc. RTTY (FSK) is a LSB mode
and should use the Sub-Band AFSK A on a K3.

My best compromise is to use the KNob or whatever they called it. Set K3 to

The decode is rather persnickety. Your ears might not hear it but I suspect
your sending is just not perfect enough to satisfy the decoder.

You have a stuck PTT.
Pull all plugs except USB, antenna and power. ERR PTT should go away.
Now plug cables in one at a time. You should find problem quickly.

I think Elecraft altered their filter array recently ( maybe 1-2 years) and
maybe the order page hasn’t caught up. I believe they discontinued some and
added some 6-pole filters. I think that is what you have.
