I've seen this when the EXCHSRVR directories are included in the AV scans.

ESEUTIL /MH on the priv will tell you what log sig rand it is looking for.
ESEUTIL /ML on the log that failed will show you the sig ran on that log.

What I would probably do is stop all the services and set them to
manual. Upgrade SP Perf Optimizer Reboot Start services Reset to
