DDR video card. To get 3d opengl hardware acceleration I had to download,
build, and install the DRI-CVS code. This incorporates the required mesa

I had a working Mandrake 7.1 system. Decided to upgrade to 7.2
I let it format my / partition but not my /home, /opt and /user/local which
are on separate partitions. All seemed to go smoothly.
On bootinto to linux Mandrake 7.2 however, the boot stops immediately after
lilo (or is it grub)
I upgraded my Mandrake 7.1 system to 7.2 and all appeared to go well until I
restarted the system after the install had finished.
The system froze on boot up when starting NFS. I managed to boot into run
level 3 (init 3) with no problems and got KDE/X running by issuing startx.
