My gys have never eaten litter, but I use "Worlds Best" which is ground corn cobs and corn because it is biodegradeable, can be composted in its own compost bin anb is lightweight and has the same texture as clay . It is not as dusty as clay also and the cats love it. Kathryn Hargreave
