I accidentally deleted a page number on a TERRIBLY HARD score, and all the

Thanks to everyone for the help on courtesy accidentals. They all work,
but take about four times as long as I remember. I seem to remember a set
of accidentals, both with and without parentheses in either the
articulation tool or the expression tool, where I could just select and
position the co
It's my experience that when I give a new piece to the players either for
live performance or recording, that leaving out courtesy accidentals
*does* waste
time. I have always erred on the side of using them, especially when

One thing I should have mentioned is that both the client and myself are on
latest model Macs, windows solutions are not possible, alas.
Mostly I am baffled that the client has given me so many files t hat have

I seem to have lost the way to make a midmeasure clef change. Mac,
Fin.2010. I can't find it anywhere in the clef window (tools). It was
there in earlier versions, but I can't find a way to move it in 2010
clef window.

Is there any way to attach a text block to a measure, so that when

I am having a lot of trouble with text blocks (which I really, really need
for a current project).
It only lets me enter them about half the time, and I cannot for the life

not there. I have used Finale since version 1.0 in the late 80s, bud I
have done the update on 2012. You'd think I'd know how to do this, but

Wow, Mike, you have made me feel like I'm not going insane after all!
I, too, hate the score manager. And a lot of other things in 2012 that
didn't need fixing, but got fixed anyway, and ...
And like you, I waste a hell of a lot of time finding the new things, or
making the new "moves". It's ve

What is the procedure to do this and make the score believe that it's there

Thanks to all for pointing me at some sources. I'm aware of the baseline
problems and just deal with them as they come up, by a variety of editing
tricks. But I'm having trouble finding a keystroke for fortissimo (ff).
If I use the one in the chart I get "fff" so I don't quite know what to do

onvert the MIDI file BACK to Finale, I get the same thing.
Instrument sounds are mis-applied and the score order is totally screwed.

I've had my problems with 2012, especially a lot of the seemingly random
and arbitrary assignment of tool names and some familiar functions. But
from what I'm hearing, I'm going to hold off on 2014.
I'm still trying to get 2012 to be

and have upgraded fairly consistently over the years. I have always
praised Finale with each release for the kind of intuitive improvements

design for the icons (small boxed icons, lying outside the score
proper--notes, rests, dynamics, staff, etc.). Is this possible in 2015, and
