Richard, you are absolutely correct! I just tested EZVars as well, and the method works perfectly. Using EZVars, combined with Sharon's "add the character tag" to a variable recommendation: (a) creates the new variable with the required minimum set of font changes like italic and spread

I am not sure about FM 8. However, when you install FM9, you can skip installing Distiller separately. Instead, it will install a light-weight application, and you will be able to create a pdf. __ Smile can help you in winning awards in beauty
