Sometimes that is not enough. If you still have empty pages, in the top ribbon,
click Special. In the drop down, click Delete pages..., and then enter the page

Problem solved. Open Acrobat Distiller. Click File, and then Preferences. In
the Security section, select the option to "Trust All Files Opened Via Acrobat
Distiller." Did that and the annoying message no longer appears and I don't
have Distiller questioning my trustworthiness.

content in the "vault drawing" for manual covers, labels, etc. All of these

This is an odd one, but might be related to running FM 12 in a Windows 10
environment.
When I open an FM book for the first time and then try to save it as PDF, FM
goes non-responsive (normal) and the little rotating Adobe icon appears at the
lower right hand toolbar (not normal). A "phantom" p
I have several digital edition PDFs of documents that contain video tutorials
(mp4 files). These tutorials played just fine in earlier revisions of these
documents in Win XP. Since our IT group upgraded us to new Dell notebooks,
running Win 10, the videos no longer play. Instead I get a warning
other division has
switched to Author-IT, and I'm afraid they will force me to go that route.
AIT isn't bad, but I manage a ton more documents that my colleague does.
Converting everything from FM to AIT would be a royal pain...

My biggest complaint -- and boy do I wish there was a script that could
fix this, but know there never will be: improve Adobe technical support:

No, we don't use the dwg files; however, if I need a CAD file, I open it
in AutoCAD and export it as a wmf file, which actually renders quite well
in FM and imports easily into graphics programs.

The only time that I use Save as PDF is when I am embedding video clips in
the FM document. If you print to pdf, you get a flat pdf. The referenced
video clips are not actually embedded in the pdf unless you "save as pdf".

Ken, I had a similar problem, but with FM12. The solution was to make sure you
uninstall Acrobat 9 and restart. The when you load FM make sure not to enable
pdf printing. Load acrobat next.
