Probably a stupid question but, just installed xorg from ports, ran 'rehash', and
attempted to run 'Xorg -configure', but get:
Xorg: Command not found.
I added 'X_WINDOW_SYSTEM=xorg' to make.conf even though XFree86 was never installed on
this system.

When I run any one of those commands, I get a command not found message.
I followed the instructions in the handbook to a tee, not sure what's going on.
Just to refresh, it's a FreeBSD 5.2.1-REL (Fresh Install), kern-developer option,

I have been trying to complete a portupgrade and something seems to be
wrong: mysql323-server won't build. It seems to have a dependency on a
file -- mysqlclient.10 -- that's part of mysql323-client but isn't
found.

Well after a lot of steps i've had succes in doing portupgrade -ra
Strangely kde wasn't updateddo I have to change some settings?
But my real problem is Java.
The port has been installed (it was very quick...I've read about some
hours??) .

My Portupgrade also had a mistake(probably with ruby) and I followed the
advice in /usr/ports/UPDATING.
I've upgraded perl to 5.8 and deinstalled Perl 5.61 .
Also libxml2 was updated.
