You could actually get the Hale Blade now, it just might take some luck. You have to win the Thane's Tournament, then take the gold cup to Bryniver's in the north part of the city where the monastery is. Sell the cup to Bryniver (try to haggle with him until you get 2500 gold, so save your game

Just uninstall it, download the file again and reinstall it. oftentimes that clears the problem right up. Don't use the same file because chances are some of it became corrupted in the process of download. Get a completely new file and try it that way. It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you
