Hello Helena, I think I have found your problem. You are using ed-wolfpaw.net and it is actually ed.wolfpaw.net. You are putting a dash between ed and wolfpaw instead of a period. The port number is correct. Re: [Audyssey] action muds/online games
I don't know how Hal does it but in JAWS you can reassign words to be pronounced differently through a dictionary manager. It's primary use is for words that JAWS pronounces wrong, and you want to fix how they sound. Example: :) = smily. I haven't looked at the actual game tags yet, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to take all of the text you find in the URL attached to each planet and remap it to say ... a blank space, perhaps. That way instead of http://blahblah.com/image/planet/squishy you would remap everything but the squishy to a single space. Then the image would just say squishy. I propose this because I assume the url text at the beginning is the same for all the links. This trick has also come in very handy in muds. In Lusternia I used to get really tired of seeing a statue every time I entered a new room. Now, as a result, I just replace the statue text with a blank space in the dictionary manager, and I'm no longer aware of them. I could certainly get Hal to speak things differently if I input the text and setup specifics in the map files, but I'd have to do this individually for each in game immage address, - which just wouldn't be worth it. More stuff seems to be labled now, and I've been able to complete the Ashar trading, mining and refigning missions, - though I'll have to hunt around sinse I can't see the player trade icon anywhere which seems required for the next one. This game does indeed have potential, I just hope it doesn't get overtaken by the pvp mob, and people will keep adding missions, descriptions and other activities sinse I could see it becoming a litle grindy if new npc content such as missions aren't added in. but I'll certainly reserve final judgement until I've played a bit more, and especially until more images are labled which will make the screen less spammy if nothing else, - though I didn't find navigating around too difficult, especially using the find function in hal's vf. same thing applies to jaws, nvda, and wineyes if you turn the right thing on. hal actually makes some things complicated like "mixed links" where it puts a link in a bit of text. that made me hit enter and get nothing at times when I was at scool where we had this annoying piece of software which I would call a verry, verry verry verry last resort lol. I'll need to try core exiles though, the game sounds itneresting. also as far as action games go you might try out exmafia.com, accasionally there is a captcha popping up but you can solve these with web visum. I use jaws used to be loads of numbers and such but its easier now. my next plan is to email coops, which seems to be the maid admin and get somethings about items sorted. you can buy 1, 10, 50 and 100 of an item but not 2-9, or which would be good I'd like 20 30 40 at least, after 50, maybe 70 or something. but its just a drop in the box right about now. it does appear that they are trying to put in my suggestions though as the planets were not like they were before I wrote in. It must have something to do with the way hal reads immages, that is the screen reader you use if I'm not mistaken dark? Re: [Audyssey] action muds/online games
A what? It's just those unlabled images for planets. Yes I can tell where they are and click them, but I don't want to have to read a loong stream of http address just to know what blasted planet I'm looking at. this would be deffinately easy for the admins to fix, so I really hope someone is having words with the powers that be in the game.
