Win7 showed an optional update for the Realtek network adapter.
Installed it and it broke the network connection. Had to roll back to
the previous driver. Don't know what M$ was thinking with that one.
Supposedly these things go through the 'Hardware Quality Labs'. Sorry
this one didn't,

The DC version of the 'wall-wart' is rated by voltage and current. They
aren't regulated, so the rating of voltage is the voltage out at the
full rated current. Otherwise, the voltage is higher. So, depending on
how much current the camera was taking, the voltage may have been as

Most likely the adapter is hot because the router fried. If there is a
short in the router, the demand for more current will make both get hot.
A quick diagnostic would be to smell your router. If it smells burnt,
it probably is.

Looks like steinie (JRS) is the genius, certainly not me. I'm not 100%
sure, but I just did a test after setting the main bios options to halt
for no errors. It didn't have a selection for halt on all except video.
I'll do a more thorough test tomorrow, but this looks really good to me.

I have a 24 Widescreen LCD monitor with VGA and DVI inputs only. I
also have a cheapie Home Theatre
I'll have to look again, but all I found was a DVI-I to component
adapter (various lengths) that monoprice insists will not work with a
computer monitor.
Yeah, I do agree, it is a great place for cables.
