Yes. I started out just adrdssu dumping the catalog, then ftp'ing. After
restore and import the catalog was broken. Putting terse between the dump and
ftp fixed the problem.

one reason for IODF Restore to build an unusable file is when it restores with
multiple extents.
IODF datasets must be single extent only.

That sounds like a winner to me. My first thought was to use the UNIX "pax"
utility. But ADRDSSU of the actual zFS LDS
You should be able to use anything that supports Unix files, including e-mail
and various forms of FTP. What do you normally use for file transfer with that
customer?
