How did u send this newsletter/email? Also, you need to consider your
hardware setup, which does not sound commensurate with your load.
You need something to throttle the mail sent thru and also to adjust the #
of processes spawned relative to the # of email ur attempting to send.

We run 7.03 hotfixed etc etc. I get blank messages from time to time. Have
no idea where they come from or why. To add to the list of problems:
- when someone uses any form of email other than plain text the trailer does
not get appended
- the other night Imail just decided to stop pushing em
If either or both of you would like to contact me off-list, I think I can
help. Depending on the bandwidth and space you need, might be cheaper. We
use a company called Webzone, which uses all the major colos.

I was trying to manually clean the que up, and it will not delete messages
it is trying to send - some of which I can clearly see are bogus addresses.
Every time I hit the 'delete' button nothing happens??

The below violates a RFC for Postmaster mail as I recall.

Look under Imail Manager, services, SMTP, SMTP Security.
Also, make sure that "Refuse NULL <> senders is checked"
I had to do a bit of checking on various senders, but it sure cut down on
the spammers using us.

Amen. I REALLY wish Ipswitch would put some work into their List Server.
This was certainly a major reason we even bought Imail in the first place,
and their lack of supporting it in subsequent versions is really a shame.

I have
an AOL user who can receive messages, but can not post - keeps getting
rejected. I have and he has unsubscribed and subscribed to no avail.

I figured my AOL user issue out. Seems when Imail Listsrv processes an
email address it IS case sensitive. Noticed this when the user couldn't
figure out why he was getting email, but unable to post. I looked @ the

Had we not been entitled to the free upgrade, we would not have done it, and
been quite happy with 6.x. We have noticed a bit faster smtp/pop
processing, although can not give you anything concrete to verify that.
