from the Smithsonian. Years ago I took our local kind of bamboo to Ken
Van Dieren at the Ithaca Lace Days to make some Ipswich bobbins. Thinking
of bobbins shaped on a lathe I couldn't figure out how he could use the
BBC said "embroidered flowers" on the veil. The flowers representing all
of the 53 members of the Commonwealth. I hope we'll be able to see some

Hi All, I have some saucers I use as ashtrays. THey're from France and I
believe they were used as coasters in a restaurant. Everytime someone
ordered a drink it came on a coaster with a price on it. At the end of
the evening the waiter would just add up the prices on the coasters for

I'm glad this was brought up. I've been wondering what happened to dove
into the bushes and the glass vessel shone in the light. They seem to
have disappeared in what I read in the US and are replaced with dived
and shined. Now I understand better what is going on!

Hi All, I read this cooking tip and it works great! I sprayed my
measuring cup with Pam (aerosol cooking oil) and filled up with the
molasses I needed. It all slid right out of the cup! Really fast when I
had just filled it but it even worked when I let it sit for a while.
I'm not sure how
I'm jealous of both of you. We still have a foot of snow on the crocuses,
the daffodils are a l-o-n-g way away.
However, the very early crocuses across the street are uncovered. With a
little sun I think they'll bloom! It does my heart good.

Hi All, I just read this on a Lion Brand e-mail. I thought it was clever
and could be adapted to writing about lace making. Actually if
journalists have so much trouble writing about knitting (which I think of
as a very normal activity) it's no wonder lace making is such a mystery.
