cover. You should see the lace in the "One Woman's Rebellion" story. It's
incredible. And Carolyn Wetzel has a great tutorial on Frisado de Valladolid

The way I posted, you wind your bobbins clockwise, and the string goes around
the bobbin counter-clockwise.Â
Perhaps setting the bobbin under the string and bringing it around clockwise
would work to wind the bobbin

Browsing through Pinterest I found pictures of patterns that were signed with
the name Manuela Lopez. Â They were mostly photos of used patterns. Â They're
all Hinojosa.

I have spent the past week reading the diaries of Anton Zakelj. Fascinating
material.
He was Slovenian, and came from a village called Ziri. In the 1943 diary he
mentions German soldiers passing through their village on the way to Idrija.
There are many entries in the diaries about lacemaking.
One of the joys of the Internet are the hidden gems that come to light.
Doing an image search for Croatian bobbin lace, I came across a photo of a
pattern that intrigued me. The blurb with it mentioned 1947, so I went to the
page. It turned out to be a diary of Anton Zakelj, who at the time,

Looking at Etsy today and found some antique French bobbins from various
sellers...all in lots of 5 bobbins.
Wrote to 2 of the sellers explaining
that lace is worked in pairs, and I would be interested in a lot of even
numbers.

use the Actual Size option when printing pdf's of lace patterns. But I like

A good source for A4 binders is Amazon. Wilson-Jones is
the brand I've purchased. They're sturdy and well-made and have pockets.
Ulrike's Torchon series fits in the 2 binder. The 1 isn't quite big enough.

Beloved and I both had a day off on Friday so we went to the movies to see
ANONYMOUS. It was an interesting movie about whether Shakespeare actually
wrote
his plays. While it wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, it was pure
eye candy
as period pieces go.
