I seem to remember seeing this pattern published in another place,
Sad news: Estonian lacemaker Eeva Talts has died at the age of 72.
As well as teaching bobbin lace she organized the annual Lace Festival
in Pärnu & was a founder of the Estonian Bobbin Lace Association (Eesti
Niplispitsi Selts) in 1995.
She published "Eesti niplispitsi mustreid/Estonian bobbin
I'm interested in hearing from anyone that has had the
experience of beads cutting the thread in their lace.

David Hopkin, an Oxford professor, is a very interesting person an

Helene Kuma was born in 7th September, 1921 as Helene Gutmann.
Sadly she died 11th October, 2009 at the age of 88.
She trained as a ceramic artist, but learnt bobbin lace from her mother.

Our Christmas weekend was very quiet

On Thursday, 10th Nov., I travelled up to Tallinn for the day to visit
the event known as Mardilaat which is an annual Handwork Crafts
Fair. It had been three years since I had visited this event, so I was
wondering if there was anything new this year.

faster
you already have a brush to use.

We were surprised today with a gift from the General Manager of Teater
Vanemuine (Estonia Theatre)
for putting up with, last Sunday, a symphony
I was asked by a young lady who was visiting Tartu to give a her lesson
in the basics of bobbin lace during the Hansa Days medieval festival
last weekend.
She told me that Lyon was her home but there didn't seem to be any
lacemakers there.
