When
The cynic in me thinks this is preparation for the Howson £2m not being
given to Grayson to spend - as it brings them back on budget.
I will be delighted if that proves not to be the case.
I also think we need to push the boat out for Snodgrass' contract - he is
our most important player by far.
Its probably something like £750k up front, plus additions like appearances
which will bring it up to £2m.
And despite what we think, Grayson has now said in at least 2 interviews that
he will be getting the money from the Howson sale, so I hope we are wrong!

I would expect that with football club subsidiaries they would expect to be
making supernormal profits in order to feed back to the club.
Let me be clear - if you take all
then the football club is not in fact generating any revenue on
non match days- just the hotel , the pubs, the restaruauts / the radio
station and it is being re-invested in the hotel, pubs, restaurant, radio
station and not the football club ?

Howson out.
Interesting article here, specifically News of the Premier League side's
interest appealed to Howson and the midfielder made it clear that with his
contract up in the summer, he would not sign a new deal.

Yeah, it is almost like the contract offers aren't actually crap. Weird.

Lousy
To be fair to Grayson, there were numerous loanees who came in and did
really well, and whom we were all keen for us to buy, but after we did they
either became very inconsistent, or just dropped the level of their
performance.

Or perhaps the mindset
Ok, I should have said
Or in the world famous Premier League as soon as humanly possible...
Howson was in the U21 squad, he clearly thinks if he is in the premier
league then he has a chance of the full squad.
Paul, if he was playing for Leicester, who most definitely are
overstretching
I am sure he did feel confident we would be challenging for promotion.
Challenging for promotion doesn't mean gaining promotion by a very very long
(dover cliffs style) chalk.
Whilst I don't know the lad, I suspect Howson has not been interested in
signing a contract until/unless it was a Premier
Just what we need to attract new players in Jan and push on for a promotion.
Great timing boys. I am sure Bates will do as you ask.

And with supporter attitudes like that, no wonder everyone wants out.
For the record, Delph is better than Howson, the team was doing ok when
Howson was playing, so I think Snoddy/Delph/Clayton/Townsend is probably the
best midfield we have had for a LONG time.

Did YOU actually read it?
Where does it say that the higher prices mean the club will be able to pay

against everything he has ever said about wages since he bought the club.
