Using latex in lyx

indented layouts for these expressions using Protected Blanks and Protected Returns. But this gets to be quite tiring after a while. My question is if there is some hidden latex layout tool or some trick to do these kinds of things without using C-Space and/or C-Return. Alexander

Hi I use LyX 1.6.3 (installed the mac version, so no fink or other port) on an Intel Mac 10.5.7 and experience a rather high cup usage by LyX even when it's doing nothing. I just have the LyX window open and watch 'top' next to it. The cpu shoots up to 50% and more for LyX with it doing nothing.

I tried to install the LyX 1.0.2 rpm package found atftp://moni.msci.memphis.edu/pub/ and it seems seems to require the library file libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 I don't have this file in my RedHat 5.2 system. What should I do about this? Thank you all, /Alex

Lyx 1.0.3pre2 rpm

Is there anyone who have compiled lyx 1.0.3pre2 into an rpm package? I use lyx 1.0.2 on a RedHat 5.2 system, but it suffers from the severe file-update bug, an so is not very fun to use. If there is a newer rpm, which library files do I need in order to use it? /Alex

Perhaps this is already well known: In LyX 1.0.3pre4 the preamble window behaves strangely if you enlarge it and you have so much text in it so the scroll bars are present. If you enlarge the window horizontally, the scroll bar on the right-hand side goes really freaky. If you enlarge it
