files. This is fine if you're just looking to jot down a note or ten. Hence the
name notepad, :). MS Word is designed to let you format your text. Now, one

This may sound like a dumb question, but have you tried bringing up the window
chooser in Finder? To bring up the window chooser, you hold down the VO keys
and hit f2 twice in rapid succession. You should see the finder window you need
there. It might say something like alert.
