Hi all,
Just wanted to know if any of the Aussies on the list were using

If so I'd be very keen on knowing what type of tuner cards, CAM

I'm still playing with my new Air2PC card; I get rather frequent errors in
recordings with it that I am fairly sure are due to my PCI bus being
overloaded (7 hard drives in software RAID5 plus the Air2PC card don't
seem to be a good combo!). In any case, until I get that problem fixed up,
I'd

Sounds like you have a bad installation.

I wasn't sure if you were getting OTA or not, I saw capture OTA and was
thinking recording OTA, not program guide OTA. You are right, don't need
mythfilldatabase for that. I'm still using zap2it.
Its your call. Most channels don't have more than 18
Any ideas why it does not work?

Just curious, is there an easy way to look up the xmltv id's?
Cool. Got it working... just restored from backup. Of course, now my
remote isn't working! :(

That looks like you haven't populated the new DVB tuning tables yet.
I know there were a lot of DVB changes for .17 so is there anyway I

Everythings working except my remote, which was working fine w/ 0.16.
I double checked that nothing changed in lircd.conf and

I'm just finishing up my own build of MythTV using Fedora Core 3. I've
got a micro-ATX case and motherboard with 2.4GHZ P4, 512MB RAM
200GB hard drive and (3) tuner cards (1 Hauppagge PVR 350 and 2 PVR
250's)
I'm using the PVR 350 for TV out, and the entire X console run's on
there just fine.

what's your environment? Fedora? knoppmyth?
I had a similar problem and found it to be simply user stupidity
(mine!) since my mixer had both line-in and speaker-out muted.
also, if you are using KDE and ALSA, disable the KDE sound system,
since it locks the sound card for itself.
