side of a cassette to a file), I used Goldwave's autocue feature to break
the file up into tracks. Then, I wanted to trim the tracks before burning
them. I had configured the autocue so that all the dead air was at the

I installed version 1.3, and it's working much better for me.
In general, am I right in thinking that one would want to decrease the pitch
setting by the same amount one increases the speed? This seems to give me
pretty good results. but, do you know of a better rule of thumb?

Bring up the preferences menu in Winamp. scroll down to DSP/Effects. Tab to
the list box that lists the various plugins, and select pacemaker by
pressing the letter p. Tab once, and you will be in a dialogue where you can
adjust sliders to set tempo, pitch, and speed. I found that JAWS
is a direct link to the file itself.

played back in Winamp. You can do it while the recording is playing back.

Library that allows you to access various AOL with Xm streams. I was vary
excited, a month or so ago, to discover WQXR, from NYC, is available this

Streams section of the Library, where you could find AOL with XM streams. I
found a stream in there for WQXR, the New York Times' classical music
for things before you know what you are agreeing to,
