I've finally figured how to get full 16-bit per color RGB scans (12-bit
actually) saved into TIF files from PhotoShop 5.0 LE using my S20 Scanner
and TWAIN32. There is a reg change for the S20, and a mode adjust check in
PhotoShop to make it work.
Now I'm getting a 50MB TIF files per image! So

where you'll get a somewhat finer grain when used full strength,

cool to have a special PUG which does the same thing - - a 'virtual slide
show' with each picture having audible commentary by its contributor. Very
cool!

I use a Sunpack MZ440AF and it works fine with the newer
bodies (is a digital flash.) It's a basic TTL unit - manual zoom, TTL
auto flash only.
I also have a Vivitar 283. Nice unit - non-dedicated, manual and non-TTL
auto, 4 manual settings, 4 auto settings.

Think of the time and energy you will have to invest to find it
cheaper. How much effort are you willing to put out for $25 or

If you want 2-1/4x3-1/4 sheet film Iford still makes it. You
can get it from Freestyle Camera in California, or BH in NYC.
Though BH lists it as special order the price is reasonable.
Lots easier than playing with scissors in the dark, and safer.

Humm... I doubt Leica makes its own glass. E. Leitz who use to
make the Leica may, but Leica was bought out by a group of
investors a few years back and is, I understand, a fairly small
company. Even before that Leica had several lenses that where
made by jobbers. I have my doubts about the
