I spoke too soon :( Setting ipeng player off hasn't solved the problem. Volume definitely increases on re-opening ipeng but not every time - the increase is 5% each time it happens. Setting player off cured it for an hour or two but it's back. I definitely have nothing synced anywhere - SB

digisam, Do you do anything different to 'ralphy's' install method? A clean startup of squeezelite on iMac would be preferable if possible so could you post your install method on iMac? I use other hardware for LMS but sometimes when I'm using iMac it's nice to be able to listen to music

Michael, I know nothing about custom-convert.conf or sox so even attempting this is beyond me. Forum user 'JohnB' has been kind enough to try comming up with something but he's working blind. He doesn't subscribe to Spotify so it's all trial and error. Thank you JohnB for trying this out.
