Yes, so I've reverted to changing the PCB editor to Imperial (using Q shortcut key) before I update from the schematic. I can then set, say 20 (mil) for a track of about 0.5mm, etc.. I then have to change back to metric, but this is a bit long winded, as I have to do a conversion everytime.

I am unable to open a Database file with Protel 99 SE with SP6. When I try to open one, the program gives me the New Design Database dialog. This installation on my computer used to work. Did you try repairing the database? This is in the system menu on the far left under Design

I did some further investigation on my system and determined that I had installed the SWIFT Designer Software Tool from Texas Instruments on the same day the problem manifested itself. As far as I can tell it must have written over some critical files. I worked with Protel for several hours
