[PEDA] Auto router "Can't Initialize" error

2004-05-05 Thread Ray Mitchell
I'm running Protel 99SE SP6 on Windows XP. Sometimes when I try to start the auto router I get a "Can't Initialize" error. This most often occurs if I'm trying to autoroute a specific net, but I'm also now getting it when trying to autoroute "All". I have a bunch of manual pre-routes I don't

We tried to auto-route a circular board (designed for inside a pipe-well). The auto-router would freeze at the message about starting up the shape based etc... We tried the board on P98 and P99SE and both froze at the same point. I searched for references to this on this news group and although

I use the autorouter often, but: - I only use "Route All" - Boards are not too complex, e.g., 5"x7", 4-layer, some fine-pitch but no BGA. - I use a layer-specific keepout, but I pre-routed all the nets within that area. FWIW, I did a Report of my design rules, and the ones marked "Rule Followed B
