Hi,
We have a board warping problem and are looking for a PCB expert to help
resolve it.
(Preferably located in the UK, but not important)
When I say expert, I mean *EXPERT*. The problem is quite complex and already
has baffled two manufacturers.
We will pay the going rate for any

Hello all,
I just received a pcb file from a subsiduary in Spain. They want us to
manufacture the product for them. Only one little problem, their files are
made with VISULA from ZUKEN-REDAC. Anyone know anything about this S/W and
whether there is a possibility of translating it to Protel? Or

From what I can tell, doesn't PV store parts data in Microsoft Access
format? If so, did you guys ever try to run a query to produce inventory
costs that were usable by the accounting dept?
We have considered PV before, but were always hesitant, because we didn't
know if it would improve

Ivan,
I believe the problem with PV is that accounting wants historical
pricing for multiple purchases to give a real value for the inventory. This
is one area that PV doesn't appear to have all the features that a
accounting department wants. For the engineering environment PV works just
Have you tried running a blank board (no solder, no components) through the
solder/reflow heating cycle? And possibly a board with solder, but no

Some things to consider:
1. FR4 resin transition temperature is between 115C and 135C. Reflow
soldering temperatures are typically 215C to 255C. Any internal stress in
the board will be relieved by warp and twist when the board becomes plastic
at the reflow temperature. The board fab must

I have to backpedal on the CTE differences, I jumped on it because the pure

Since it seems to get better over time is it possible that there is a

explode if they absorb moisture then get soldered. If the laminate has
moisture in it and it changes with the heating it may then relax as it

Yes, but not in a way that you will find satisfactory in the Schematic
