My apologies to Richard Whittacker -- the message regarding the mirror
updates was intended only to go to project leader Eric Shubert, not to

I will be more careful in the future.

I've got a few domains on a REAL old qmail/vpopmail server setup on FreeBSD,
and want to move some of them to my newest qmail toaster box.
the old system has all the domains in a single MySQL table called 'vpopmail'.
Doing a mysql select statement is
server /'til the cows come home/ and it
won't matter! Also, if your bind server is having trouble, set a decent
BACKUP DNS service, and know that mail WILL be delivered, even if bind
gets all bound up! pun intended
Just my thoughts...

I want to chime in on something Eric said recently, and is a common
source of /misconception /with QMT admins:
* QMT _/*does not*/_ provide *DNS resolution* (in fact, _*NO MTA*_
that I am aware of does this itself -- it would violate a *nix
principle of separation of function)
o
and vpopmail are fully compatible with newer PHP versions, and
with CentOS 6... What will happen with RHEL 7 (due out in 2nd half of
2013 or 1st half of 2014) is yet to be seen. (Will QMT officially
support RHEL 6 before the release of RHEL 7???)

But, how do I configure outbound mail FROM a specific domain to be
routed only through the SMART HOST?
- smtproutes rules apply to the receiving domain, not the sending one!
I'm interested to hear ideas

That was the best I could think of... anyone with ideas for a better

You will be asked to provide the postmaster password, and after
that, you can use your web browser to use those blasted qmailadmin

I hope this is complete enough for you!
