All of the recent chat about voters and a recent trip to my site has
reminded me of a question regarding the LDG. Mine has been in service
for about 8 years now and just recently hearing the relay clicking has
got me wondering:
Has anyone had a relay failure in the LDG? If so, were you able to

I've always wanted to build a system based on the LDG. If you look at

More to come as I get several.

I can't say if the Motorola SpectraTAC system is
cheap, but enough are floating around that you should
consider one. They only need an audio path. Idle
receivers send a 2175 Hz tone over the line (which
could be a radio link under the right conditions)
which tells the voter not to vote this
I have one of the new black voters woth the LEDS. As far as the torroids
go, I don't know for sure. I can check at the local electronics store here
(not Rat Shack) and see if they have them or can get them.

I look forward to the information. (as I'm sure many on the list do as
well). I would like to incorporate this into the 2 meter side of the
system here to help "hide" some interference problems.

A while back, there was some discussion on voters. I have read through all
of that. I am looking to install one here. I am planning on bringing my rx
sites back on RF and having the rx radios at the voter site interface to a
status tone (2175 Hz) circuit and then feed the voter. My question
Jamey,
If you did read through that thread, why would you still be using status
tone to indicate a COR signal?

You could probably use the tone encoder assembly out of a used
Motorola Controller.
Before I try sorting out if I have one / convert something else
to do that, see what others on here say.

It doesnt require any mods to the voter. Use the radio links as

I have used the 2175 hz status tone encoder module with Maxtrac receivers.
Works great...
Also have converted the SpectraTac comparator to work with 24/7 links with
status tone and also using some with cor, without using the 2175 generator at
the receive end. I can provide you with details

Have you read the two or three voter articles at www.repeater-builder.com
on the Technical Info page?

That way I don't have to do any major mods to the voter. I prefer to run
it
the way it was intended.

Status tone does set the agc in the sqm. Very impotant when using phone lines with varying losses. When using rf links with fixed levels a simple mod makes the agc constant. Works great when using the cor mod.

With all the talk of voters I thought I might as well throw in my voter question. I was wondering if anyone knows if themotorola Digi-Tac comparitor also has a cor input line asit was said that theSpectra-Tac did. I have a Digi-Tac here with abad power supply board I would like to put into use.
Can you give me the details on this?? I have never done it, but am
sitting on plenty of spectra tac equipment that I would like to utilize.

The Doug Hall voter works on noise just above the voice band, just over
3 kc in freq. If the response from the remote sites is different and
either boost or attenuate this band of signal, the voter may false.
Also, if the audio response if different between voters, the repeated
