I wonder if a c factor of 120 would be allowed if you were using a nitrogen generator. (Obviously future generations of the standard). Though you may be able to make the new technology argument. Jamie Seidl On Jun 11, 2015 4:19 PM, Daniel Wilder daniel.wil...@wsfp.us wrote: Galvanized pipe

And that's is what I was thinking also. This is more of a due diligence exercise for the contractor and owner, so I wanted to take them something concrete on why or why not. The only place it's mentioned is 8.15.1.4, which deals with wood joist construction, and we generally don't protect these

I've done a heat trace system on a full foam system, branch lines and all. it was the P.E. that required it due to the division 2 classification, and the owners insistence on not installing Div 2 heaters in the chemical storage room. we asked him to provided manufacture, and a letter from the

I have always installed FDC's on the discharge side of fire pumps. Looking through 2013 NFPA 20, I don't see anything precluding the instillation on the supply side. Is the FDC allowed to be installed on the supply? I have a contractor that has installed the FDC on the supply run-in, instead of

I always thought the listing deduction to standard response with EC's was due to the increased spacing, (Further distance for the ceiling jet to travel). Also limiting you to the maximum remote area size by not allowing the QR reduction. After all, it's still a fast response element.
