Hi Sue,
It will work with the Trekker Breeze only if it will act as a standard GPS
supplying GPS data over a cable or a bluetooth connection. This is called
NMEA data when a GPS supplies GPS info to some other device.
If you buy a GPS meant for a notebook/laptop, they only cost around $50 or

Hello Bob,
You wish to have more than 256 lines on a single page in Word?
That many lines of text on a single 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper is a lot
of very small lines. In fact, the font would be so small, I doubt
if anyone could read it if you were to print it out.
Maybe I am misunderstanding
Hello Vaughan,
Interesting that you find Window eyes 9.1 to act up on your Win 7
Professional system.
I actually had my Win 7 Pro system at work, and I had some issues
with it there, using the older 8.4 edition.
I brought it home, and installed the new 9.1.

Hi Bob
You're trying to do something with MS Word that it's not designed to do;
it's not a text editor like Notepad, it's designed to layout characters on a
page. The reason you're running into a limit is the height of those
characters; this is as many lines as Word thinks can fit on a page.

My advice would be just get what you can afford, and make sure it is
expandable for later.
Good luck with it.

I have two contrasting experiences with version 9.1.
On my 8.1. 64 bit machines, 9.1 has proven to be the most stable of

I'm running WE 9.1 on Windows 7 and IE 11.
I haven't done a thorough review of when I get phantom speech. But it
seems to be related to what is last copied onto the Windows

I've been asked for some examples of how to use Remind_Me_Where.
I do plan an audio tutorial soon, as it's truly difficult to explain how

For a while, I wasn't receiving messages from this list, although my

I did, and they were.

Hi Rick,
One thing you could disable is an option in the Windows Enhanced app, under
Toasts and Balloon tips, it may help to disable the first option,
Automatically route mouse to toasts and balloon tips.

I also would like to learn how to do this with Window Eyes.

Additional Firmed up:
I just closed Outlook and was expecting to get returned to the desk top.
I heard "Window-Eye..." followed by the word "Graphic" as usual, that is the
word "Graphic" when things are reading phantom words.
Then was on the Desktop.
So, my current guess, is that WindowEyes is read
Correction: When I hit the numpad 5 key I hear Window-Eye... instead of
"WinEye..." making me question if I heard "WindowEye..." in the original

In fact, the "Window-Eye..." would be the text of the shortcut on my desk
top chopped off with the "..." replacing the rest of th
FollowUp:
It just happened again.
This time when the literal "WinEye..." was read think it was "WinEye..." I
hit the numpad 5 key and heard it read indicating it was under the mouse.
I used the numpad upand down arrow keys and it looks like it is the
WindowEyes shortcut on my Desktop being read but
I don't know what program is causing this but it is time as I said before to
load at start up just the bair bones. See if that helps. Then add each
program you use back to your startup tell you find the problem. I have seen
a few programs do this sort of thing as I described in my last message.
Here's what I do now when a screen reader dies.

When the screen reader decides to go play golf somewhere without notice, hit
windows l, alt w, to switch user.

Hi Again.
I closed Outlook and ReOpened it and WindowEyes is typing correctly now.
I looked in the System boxes, the task bar and the notification bar but do
not see any literals like "WinEye..." so I don't know where that speech was
coming from unless a WindowEyes object not available to the norm

I left the computer for a few minutes.
Came back and hit the control key just to clear things before starting

I heard "graphic" "graphic" and was still on the Desktop.

I hit alt and heard "graphic" and alt tabbed and got back to the D
Hi Guys:
Those who test WE in Windows 7 are using a quantum leap backward from the
Windows 8 and above.
In Windows 8 Microsoft has continued getting away from MSAA and eliminated
the use of a screen buffer that most screen readers relied heavily on to
read formatted screens.

Hi: I changed the subject to narrow this particular problem discussion.
