screen, just alt-tab once, let go of the keys entirely, then alt-tab once,
again. You should find yourself back in the composition screen, and speech is
back for the duration of your composing efforts.

Well, I use Outlook, and it exhibits very similar behavior. The cure, for me
at least, is just to alt-tab away from the message I'm working on and alt-tab
