I would like my Touch to fade the volume out when I hit pause or skip.
A really quick fade, less than one second, but gentle.
I don't like the abrupt cut off I get with the current behavior.

Are you using a squeezebox server(SBS) on a separate computer or are you

The USB interface on the "other device" *is* asynchronous:
I stand corrected. The Hiface interface appears to use an ansynchronous
USB driver, no mean feat (although the specific hardware device you are
referring to is apparently not yet available). I obviously had not

I did the listed configuration mods including turning off the analog

further back in the soundstage. Maybe that translates into improved

HiFace improves on that. You still need a separate DAC to get an analog

someone of us are using Touch only for its analog output, which can be

Pure analog out with the mods is very good on both an absolute and
relative scale. It's a great source for a second/third system.
I am not using Touch's digital out. That's what TP is for.

but the hiface is just a DAC correct? Maybe I'm wrong about this.
The touch has a DAC (or can output S/PDIF) AND it serves as the
"soundcard" for playing your audio. Yes, I can connect a DAC to my
computer and play from Computer (and its soundcard) to S/PDIF input to

On your player (or on your iPENG) select "mysqueezebox.com" as your

I want to use my Iphone with Ipeng to remote control my Squeeze Touch,

Does anyone know a fix?

Your post #20 indicates that John's changes don't produce extra
information about what's going wrong: the log just states that there is
an out of memory error during artwork scan. My experiment with John's
