I have found is if i start the system with my killswitch enabled (i.e.,
wireless disabled) i can get the wireless to start by enabling wireless
with the killswitch, then right clicking on the NetworkManager icon and

turned out my PCM volume in alsamixer became disabled. Open a terminal
and enter 'alsamixer -Dhw' and make sure your master and PCM volume is
enabled. I don't know if thats the root of your problem or not.

I have been running intrepid 64 bit for a while now. A day or two ago

password over and over again as it tries to connect but "Deny" makes
seahorse refuse the request. I agree it would be nice if seahorse could
communicate to network-manager saying you request has been denied don't

behavior has changed for the worse and a case of repeated functionality
because the vol up/down buttons also unmute the sound.

Reproduction:
1) Right click on the NetworkManager Applet icon in the notification area and

opinion would be the ubuntu loading screen just as startup begins. If a
sentence was put under the loading bar say something like the ubuntu
live cd is loading this will not write any data to your hardrive,

LTS part of that is not changing them once they are released. Any changes to
a system has the potential to cause new bugs. If you are using ubuntu on
your personal computer I would upgrade to non LTS releases. I rather enjo
agreed a newer intrepid iso worked fine. I was misreading this bugreport

It was not fixed in hardy heron but as reported above it has been fixed
in the next release intrepid ibex (8.10) due out the 30th of october.
The only way it could get into the hardy repositories is if it was
backported which is unlikely because it is not of extremely high demand.

Yes ok that makes it all clear to me i think. Its an odd problem because
the person who put them there is using samba and can then delete them if
you gave the read/write access but you cannot because normally you would
not access the folder with samba or as root. I have a share folder much

*Reproduction:
1) put a standard single layer blank dvd disc in dvd burning drive
2) on the desktop right click 'Blank DVD-ROM Disk' and select 'Open with
"CD/DVD Creator"'
3) A nautilus window opens that says 'CD/DVD Creator'. Dr
I have just tested this in an intrepid virtual machine and I can report
that evince is now able to save PDF data entered into forms.

Also I tested this in an intrepid virtualization which uses keyboard
indicator 2.23.92 and the bug appears to no longer exist.
