Here is the issue. PCM volume was set to 0 in alsamixer, however,
running alsamixer as recommended in the terminal only brings up the the
master volume. If you instead run 'alsamixer -Dhw' in a

I am still experiencing this bug and am unable to reliably reproduce it.

So you think it was bad ram? You can run memtest on it. In the grub
bootloader one of the options should be memtest. It will take a long time to
run. It will tell you how accurately your ram stores information. Hope your

Is there any chance this will get fixed in intrepid. My guess is
unlikely as
I can confirm this bug it has been around for a ling time, it is still
present in intrepid. It has stepped up in importance for me because they
are moving away from the xorg.conf file as much as possible with
intrepid. I don't know how to properly get someones attention for this.

that evince is now able to save PDF data entered into forms.
