Yes, this is now the default setting. It is for those with disabilities who require switch access for accessing their iOS devices. Unlike you, if Bluetooth is accidentally switched off, they cannot get it turned back on without assistance. It is far easier for you to turn Bluetooth off again.

I would recommend the Logitech 810 or 811 models. I have the 810 and it works just as well as the 811. The only difference is the 810 is supposed to be for windows devices, and the 811 for MACS. I use the 810 just fine with my iDevice. It is a pretty thin keyboard with great-sized keys. Hth Jenn
