I am not diabetic, but my wife uses the freestyle. She can see well enough to
use the reader, but I have checked her level with her phone, and it worked as
well. I wasn't aware that you have to choose between the reader and the app.

you don't need the reader. You should be able to scan with your phone. it
uses NFC and not bluetooth, so you will need to place the phone next to the
sensor on your arm. When you first install or when you change the sensor, you
will have to wait an hour before you do your first scan.

After upgrading to IOS 15 i notice that my home screens were rearranged and
some of my folders were broken and the apps are just scattered on the screens.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using an iPhone 8.
